F32 M Performance (OEM) Front Splitter
I ordered my front and rear M Performance splitter from Turner, and it is going to be delivered today!!
I am going to try my hand at doing this install Has anyone else done this install themselves and could offer any tips? I haven’t found any install videos for the F32 online, so I am slightly nervous. The closest I was able to find was an M4 install, and it looks like there is quite a bit of fabrication and cutting that is needed which I am reaally hoping is not the case with my install. Does BMW include the install instructions? If not, does anyone have access to this? Part #51192408993 |

Betalink is like fucking concrete, that spoiler is not coming off without paint damage after. I used copious amounts of 3M double-sided tape; that coupled with push pins on the bottom was more than enough.

Here ya go. See pages 2. and 10.
BMW M Performance Aero Install Instructions for F32/F33/F36. Covers all their different splitters, skirts, spoilers & diffusers. I got the betalink for mine. The instructs shows the two spots where it goes. All the rest of the hardware needed is included in the ..993 kit. There's one error in the first pic on page 10. You retain and reuse the two Outer Screws (arrow #1), and only discard the two expanding rivets (arrow #2). Two drill holes - that's it. It should sit farther inward than shown in your test fit pic - less than or equal to 3/16" along the grille fronts on each side. Should fit like a glove. Hope this helps! Tom

You can see that the holes all line up with the stock one, no extra drilling involved which is cool.
What's strange is there is some slight cutting involved where the exhaust tips go. I purchased a Milwaukee utility blade (label queen) and ima have a go at this (instructions state 'remove the bar of the diffuser using a suitable knife and deburr the cut edges of the diffuser insert). I'm glad you got me the pdf, because I had no idea how I was going to fit the exhaust through that hole - I was probably just going to sham it through and let the plastic melt off under the heat : |

I really hope I got these clips facing the correct direction - the directions are difficult to tell which way they should face?
Using an educated guess. There's a little overhang that I'm guessing you fold back along the edges. |

You should have had a grey 'rubber cord' included in your M Perf rear diffuser kit. That's used when painting the diffuser like shown in your pic. It inserts into the groove around the unpainted section, and will yield a nice finished paint edge after painting (once removed).
Recommend you uninstall the diffuser to paint it, then reinstall...

Did you use the black paint pen like the instructions say? It's got a small gap so it doesn't look terrible, but I'm thinking about filling in the White with some black paint? |

Looks to be sitting right to me, with the proper small 3/16” or so gap along the side grille fronts. Yeah, I’d fill in that gap in front of the grilles with black, as the instructions said. Paint or exterior decal/tape (I’m using the latter).

It looks really good right there. I had my lip for almost six years on 2 cars and I never filled in the gaps.
