From what i see it is redesigned but nothing new. Yes might be something inside that will attract but from outside just a little bit different. Will wait for 4 years when the new one will come.

Just a refresh. New headlights and tail lights. I like the M mirrors. I read that they will bump HP to 382ish for the I6.

Here are some highlights of what will be included on the X7 LCI:
  • The X7 LCI xDrive40i will be getting the new TÜ2 iteration of the B58. The power gets bumped from 335hp to 375hp.
  • All X7 LCI models will get the 48V mild hybrid system.
  • All X7 LCI models will get the new dashboard with iDrive 8.

The G07 X7 will be in production until Nov 2027. So almost 6 years.

LCI start = 8/22 or 5 years of LCI production

G07 has been in production since 12/18 with EOP 11/27 or 9 years of total production.

Yep, I've got all that data. I was replying to another post in regards to how long the wait will be from today for the new generation X7.
Approx. 5.5 years is more accurate I suppose

Any rumors on what the v8 refresh or alpina entails? Im wary of longevity of 48v mild hybrid since other brands had teething issues.

They're unlikely to squeeze anymore ponies out of that 4.4 liter.

Expect the big selling feature to be iDrive 8.

LCI V8 will be the "new" S68 but no change in horsepower ratings. Notable that the m performance v8 models will share an "S" engine with the full Ms but is still an evolution of the current motor. Probably some of the usual reengineering and updating for efficiency and reliability as well as to support both 48v and the forthcoming PHEVs (XM, M5 up first) it will be installed in

I like the current multi modality user interface that we have in current bmws. Buttons for button liners, steering wheel control, voice control etc. everything going buttonless and 3 menu selections to change seat heating is going to be ridiculous and no the voice system does not recognize all accents very well. We need to learn to speak perfect German - perhaps.

Why can’t they leave something alone? There are lots of other bugs in bmw systems they could fix, instead of creating new ones.

This sounds ominous. Is this system already on other BMW's? Or will the X7 be the first?

I believe it is on the i4, which has been released in Europe but not the US yet.

Looks like they are going with ///M style side mirrors, I wish my 2022 M50i came with those mirrors like they do on the new X4 X3 ///M models. I know there is a retrofit available which I am holding off to see what comes in near future.

It should look similar to the i4 pictured below, which is a nice step up. Middle touch-screen is over 20% larger(12.3" to 14.9").

My wife has an i4 on order and, in all likelihood, we will get the LCI X7 so I know I am stuck with the new ID 8 system. However, I will really lament the loss of the shortcut buttons. I use them a lot on our current X7 and X3M.

Yeah these car manufacturers forget that we're actually driving a motor vehicle and the buttons make it easier to navigate through the various items. It should be a combo of easy to sue buttons and touch screens as is now.

Touch screens are great for iPads and phones when stationary but having to navigate though touch screen menus while also trying to safely drive gets distracting which is lost on the auto manufacturers
