I'm getting a bit nervous-I ordered mid March. Last Monday my dealer said they would have the car tomorrow. I was so excited. Each day he tells me they are waiting for the truck and can't locate. Is this normal? Anyone else ever experience this? Thanks!

Yep. I love the look - they look really nice and premium. The picture doesn’t really do a good job of what it truly looks like - it kinda washes everything out - but here you go:

That’s just about what it takes to get here from Germany! Anyone else have a recent data point from Spartanburg to Oregon?
Made it out of the Kansas City Rail Hub - looking at Renton by 5/22 they said. Seems like it should be here before 6/5 but we'll see. Will give them a call next Monday to see if there's any new info.

FWIW it seems as if it hit the rail from South Carolina during the dispatch status and when it switched to in transit was when it left KC.

Did you call the genius to figure out exact state of transit (KC Rail hub ...)?

Mine says transit ... it would be nice to know where it is in transit.

Thanks

Yep - Called the genius number and asked for an updated estimated delivery date. As always they were super nice and shared what they could see. They didn't give me too much in terms of exact dates to the dealer and such but I have a hard time believing it will take two full weeks to get on a truck to Oregon.

Hello - I am in the Houston area. I drove my new 2024 X7 home from the dealer last night. I placed the ordered in mid-April.

It is my first BMW purchase as typically I buy either Lexus or Porsche vehicles.

I paid MSRP but kept the build a touch under 100k but did get a bunch of options.

Overall, car is big and beautiful and lovely to drive and the interior is fantastic.

I am actually very impressed with this car and think BMW has done a great job with this model.

Best,

YN

Here is a recent post on this topic. There may be other options out there.

I'm going through some how to videos to familiarize with the new car and I've a question about Driving Assistance Professional package. Does the steering wheel buttons looks like this on with the pro package? I'm seeing some vides that shows different buttons and wondering if I have something missing.

This video shows different buttons and layout

my car's buttons:

I assume on the 24s we still have the “skyline” headlight issue?

Yes, I do with the annoying and unique requirement to press the SET button every time the speed changes. DTD

Highway Assistant works very well, but as instructed, you need to keep your attention on the road. As I was headed down I-95 today in moderate traffic, there was a large angled piece of metal sitting vertically in the road that was blocked by the car in front of me until I came closer than I would prefer . . . scary.

Thanks for pointing that out. It is definitely still there in both normal and high beams. I didn't even specify that option

Can any 2024 owner confirm if there is a spec that you can still get the Alcantara moon roof, or are they all the roller shade? I hope this question makes sense. My dealer told me they no longer make the alcantera shade and well you know how some dealers are. Thanks for any insight.

I have had them both in my XB7, 22 with HK and 24 has B&W, 22 I did not order it was as spec car I would never order it without B&W. If you like audio it is not even question.
