You'll get airbag/occupany errors on the iDrive with the seat swap, we have modules that are arriving in a couple of weeks to rid of these errors.

None yet as the boards are still being assembled. A new thread will be started as soon as soon as modules are ready for release.

Installation is a snap, I've been running one for about 6 weeks with no errors.

Completely Plug and Play, I'm running Recaros myself error free.

I was going to buy a set of performance seats, but I changed my mind because as of 3 weeks ago, you would get a error for the seat sensors. Last time I checked BMW is still working on the fix. Just FYI before you spend $4000 on seats.

Also FYI #2: the seating position of the performance seats are actually higher than OE seats.

Finally, I am not sure how the aftermarket error-elimination modules would affect air bag deployment, etc.

BMW Performance Seats are not DOT approved, I doubt they will be working on any type of solution for the US market.

The "teaser pics" are prior to '09. Do you know if you'll be able to bypass the error code thrown by disconnecting the new-for-'09 crash-active head restraint connection (circled in red)?
