If it wasn't so ridiculous I would be loosing my mind. From BMW X7 to Nissan Kicks. Don't even care if the picture comes up sideways. Probably would be better for the overall morale of the forum.

Actually very similar to the "limp mode" the X7 went into with the chassis error. Also great for Britax booster seats. Takes the kicking the back of the seat to a new level. Perhaps that's how the decided to name the car.

I hope I don’t regret this move. But there is still time. If the problems keep occurring then I’ll probably walk. I’m already pissed off at the dealer and BMW at this point anyways with this QC crap. Loosing my patience quickly and seeing CEL issues and now suspension issues doesn’t make me feel any better… maybe I will just keep my X5 for a little longer until these bugs are worked out. If my count is correct there are 4 people on this thread that have the same issue with the suspension.. not good. I know this is a large forum with many members but it feels like most will have this issue. Let’s face it there is not that many of them out there yet so to have 4 from the members on here is concerning. I’m sure BMW will address it but I really don’t need the aggravation. I would Love to find out if software fixes this issue or it’s some sort of mechanical issue.
Anyone have a news yet? Side note I had a 2017 GLS450 a few years back with kind of the same issue. It it ended up being the air compressor (mechanical issue). With this being a 2023 kind of hoping it’s software. |

Since I'm still waiting for official news from dealer (someone is coming in tomorrow from BMW), I figure I'd leave some first drive impression from the Kicks.
Firstly, upon approaching, you are hit with a simultaneous feeling of head boiling rage and uncontrollable nausea. Once seated in the plastic encased coffin of a cabin these feelings escalate until all one sees is a shade of white. The right front wheel drive configuration is interesting - an unending pull toward the dominant side. Thankfully the flat bottom steering wheel responds well to the constant manipulation required to keep it straight. Also, for those who lament the loss of physical buttons in the X7 I provide visual proof below that we are all better off. Alright, I'll stop. Just needed to blow off some rage to prevent myself from telling them to keep the X7 and moving on. |

@JHarb15 you're taking this pretty light heartedly, but there's no way in hell that I'd let the dealer get away with this.
Demand something in the same range as your X7 because there's no telling how long you'll be stuck in that raggedy ass Nissan!

Agreed. More info on time in service tomorrow. I can handle a couple days but made it clear if longer either they give money back or get me something else to drive.

OP here. Dealer first tried the software approach which didn't work. Then checked the components and found that one of the suspension struts actually broke... which subsequently threw off the other wheels as well. After replacing the part they said it's driving fine now. I haven't picked up the car yet though.
I'm actually relieved that it's a broken part that can be fixed, as opposed to some software issue that may never completely stay away. |

Concerned that something broke with such little use (miles wise) Did you get any nonsense of you hit a pothole or you caused this damage ? |

I got an X3, which I've actually enjoyed quite a bit. Nissan though is unacceptable. I used to drive an altima. I also travel a lot for work and spend plenty of time in nissan/toyota/honda rentals and Nissan has definitely fallen behind the others.
