Also, the website tracking will be lagging significantly, for example it said my car was in quality control when it was already on a trailer. Use the 800 number and provide the VIN to one of the friendly customer service agents for the most up to date information. |

Yes. If you call, they should be able to give you a date on which it should be complete; you can bank on that date being pretty accurate. Don’t get caught up in the online tracker; mine said “today’s the day your car entered production” for almost 2 weeks — up until 48 hours before it was complete.

Although, from my experience there was a long period where those on the other end of the Genius line did not know what was going on either. They were nice, and tried there best... but they could not figure out why my vehicle had been in "quality check" forever....but in the end they are just looking at the screen in front of them.

Mine had a VIN and entered the production queue June 3. It was slated to complete production 6/14. Everything was cruising along until it hit Status 155 (Quality Check). It sat there for 3.5 weeks. My dealer couldn’t get any info and said they had 9 other vehicles stuck like mine. BMW phone line couldn’t provide any info other than what I could see online. The X7 finally left the factory July 11, almost 4 weeks after its initially scheduled finish date. Picked it up last Friday pm after a short transit from South Carolina to VA. It was worth the wait!

Mine sat at “vehicle entered production today” for almost two weeks. 36 hours before its expected completion date, it still said that. It ended up being finished on time. This was two months ago, however.

I am hoping for the same. It says completion date is 7/19, but right now is says: PRODUCTION BEGINS Today's the day: your BMW has entered the production queue. The same it has said since two days after we ordered it |
