Some highlights:

BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant (new function)
The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant is your on-board personal assistant. Start by activating the assistant with the command “Hey BMW.” You can also name it yourself by simply saying “Hey BMW, change the activation word.”

Special information about this upgrade
- In some cases, you may need to re-activate Apple CarPlay. The checkbox can be found under “Mobile Devices” in the “Settings” submenu.
- Some settings may be reset to default after the upgrade (for example, interior lighting) and may need to be re-activated.
- Remote Engine Start could be deactivated after the update. Please activate Remote Engine Start after the installation. The function is located under "Climate Functions" in the "Settings" submenu.

When was this update released, and has any noticed the lane keeping system working better after the update? it's pretty bad as is compared to the hardware, and it would be nice if bmw is activity working to improve it.

So is this over the air? Or you bring to the dealer? And this is different than the iDrive software I presume?

This was at the dealer and it should include iDrive updates.

I am hoping the next release is OTA. I believe the X5 just got their first OTA.

Does anyone know if the the “big” software update hit dealers last week and is available? I’m bringing my car in tomorrow for the latest software updates to address different glitches (CarPlay, display issues, loss of source/volume control, and overly aggressive lane keeping)
