I had to delete the orignal user with BMWassist and they issued me a new user (using different email) over the phone. Perhaps that person did it, but I have not enabled anything through the desktop. ymmv

My remote access functionality stopped working. Called ConnectedDrive was told the system is down. The Weather App is also down. Please confirm if your remote access is working.

My remote functions were all broken. I took it in and they updated my software to 2019/03.60 and it is working now.
The only other thing that was done was login to connecteddrive website, not app and set my security question. The service guy said their dealer portal showed a field called "secret knowledge" that wasn't set that could have been the issue. So that is the closest thing I could find to set. Their dealer portal said the customer has to set that secret knowledge when he showed me he error. Also not I was on software 2019/03.44 prior to the upgrade.

alpha - mine still work as of now. I have a hunch they say the sytems is down all the time. I called them a couple weeks from April - Mid June. They told me that everytime. Next time ask them how long its been down and they will usually say "for weeks or months". Push them further and they will say something like "well we are doing updates, blah blah, and sometimes this happens to some people, etc, etc, I don't know if that is true, but in my case, it was not the issue. They were just using it as an excuse to not try very hard.
