Are you trying to remove it or are you saying that it has been removed?

I just replaced mine due to the auto car wash.
Had to replace the arm and cover cap. IIRC, it was a 10mm nut. Use a plastic pry tool to remove the cap and arm from the rubber holding bushing. There are no splines to align. Just eyeball horizontal and the wiper arm will have some arc slop so don’t get too frustrated trying to align it perfectly. Tighten nut but don’t over tighten. Replace cover. Just snaps on to wiper arm base. Edit: Here are PN’s Wiper arm 61627474263 Covering cap 61627474265 Wiper blade transferred over so no PN for that. Just snaps out and in. Hope this is what you were looking for. |

Not sure why’d you want to.... there is a post and rubber bushing that will stick out of the glass. This is where the motor connects to. You won’t have an object free glass, post removal.

I would like to use a Wiper Delete Plug, but don't know if they are on the market. Found them for other cars and models.

Among the several SUVs I have owned and currently own, my X7 exhibits exceptional ability to attract and deposit debris on its rear window. Being as concerned about what is behind me as what lies ahead, deleting the rear wiper function merely for cosmetic purposes seems a hazardous gambit. Is there more to it than this?

Not worth the effort and nobody cares about whether you have a wiper or not. Is this a Sema show vehicle? You think people are behind you going, omg, he doesn't have a wiper that looks so clean! Nope. They are thinking... that car is missing its wiper arm. Dude must be poor can't afford a new one. Lol

My 2022 X7’s rear wiper has never moved. It’s completely unnecessary even in rain. I keep the rear window clean about once a week. The upside is no scratched glass from the wiper.

The visibility is so poor during a rain storm when the rear wiper is off. I don’t understand why someone wouldn’t want to be able to see clearly in the rear view.

Interesting because when it rains, I get a lot of buildup on my back window. Probably one of the worse SUVs I've owned with how dirty the back window gets. Even after car washes, I get home and it's already filthy from the water and dirt flying up.

Totally agree. The back of my X7 is impossible to keep clean. And during rain storms, you can't see out of the back of the vehicle. And same for when it's snowing. The aerodynamics on this vehicle causes everything to get sucked up and onto the back window. Looks great when it's clean though!

Wash and clay the glass, then treat it with ceramic coating. You will never need the wiper on for at least 3–4 months. Moreover, the glass will look spotless and slick.
I almost never run my wipers during the rain. |
