In fact most of the important updates (to me) are those that are available on the ID7 too. All the items that are related to drive-assist or lane-change or so are compatible with ID7, and those were the most important ones to me which is why I proceeded with the software. Also, keep in mind that by upgrading to 7/2022 you are also getting all the software updates that you might have missed in March 22 or Nov 21 if u did not get those yet. I spoke to BMW GENIUS team today. Frankly this is first time I got useful solid data from them.
* I know why it's stuck now; he said ambient temperature needs to be above 14F, and it has been slightly lower than the past 2 days on my end.

** Note to everyone; he advised me to NOT get the software for now anyway, as he said several clients have reported Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto not working after the update and had to go to their dealers!!. Said it might be best to wait anyway until that is resolved even though it does not impact all vehicles from day-1 or immediately, but several complaints were received.

You should probably make a sticky thread on this to warn others. I'm glad I decided to download it but wait a bit before I installed it. I'm already on 03/2022.58 anyway. I can surely wait if this is causing a problem since I use Android Auto.

In reference to another thread, you can see what I was talking about with BMW breaking something in the process of updating/fixing something. I'm not one bit surprised there's reported issues. What I would like to know is if these issues are across the board with all X7 model years or only on the LCI? Anyone have any information on that?

OTA from BMW is a fiction….
In time when another car brands made full update for all model range, bmw fixing bugs for one year after SOP, and then drops the customers and pushing us to change the car. “You have to buy new x7 with id8 for Remote parking or Digital Key”.
Why? Are this functions Rocket science for software engineers when I have all needed options (ACC and 50m rear drive memory for example) ? Many budget cars (KIA, Hyundai , BYD etc) have this options.

Too bad marketing for loyalty IMHO
