How often does the information in My Garage get updated? Is it only once a day or multiple times a day?

Thank you.

It's near real time. So, it will get updated multiple times a day when things are changing like when it's in production or your dealer changes your configuration. When you place an order, it will sit for a long time before you get a VIN. Mine changed 3 times today.

Thank you.

Mine is still in "Order received". I have a week 20 production date.

How long did it take for VIN to appear after placing an order?

You will get your production number when your dealer takes your order if they have an allocation (status 111). You can then go into my garage and see your configuration. You can get your build week from your sales person. You can change your order until it goes into status 150 (it flips into 150 about 2 weeks prior to build week). When it goes into 150 you get your vin. So, depending on when your build week is it may take some time before you get your vin.

Important Status Codes
111 Order Accepted
112 Order scheduled for Production
150 Production Started

Did your car clear QC? mine is in QC for almost a day now.

what do folks recommend about a car stuck in QC? Is it still ok to take delivery or place another order?

I’ve asked this before and the issue might be a missing part they’re waiting on or a problem with the car. I’m waiting on one that a customer backed out on his order and will be considering when it lands, it’s been in QC for 9 days now! People have told me to check with my dealer about the reason and when I did, all I hear back is “it’s still being built” which is a bunch of BS, hope your dealer is better than mine

I'm also thinking to going to another dealer if it is not clearing QC in another day

I would give it a week. If no move and no info from the dealer I would move on.

It's a 40i. If I had a 60, it would be a long wait for another one. I think the issue would be the lack of communication of what the issue is beyond a week. If you can get that then you can decide.

Without communication you think, who wants a 100k lemon.

Still in QC for me. I would suspect that it's staying there for a few reasons:
  • They are not supposed to release any of the 24's till April so just holding at the end of production line
  • They are queueing cars for dealer transport so there is a few days delay
  • Might be some parts missing, but seems unlikely at the start of the MY

Will see if it moves in the next few days

That is what my dealer just told me. He said he will have an update on Monday as his contact does not work weekends. Not sure if factory has weekend shifts.

thanks, I've been keeping an eye on another 2024 x7 VIN from my dealer and it cleared QC in about 3 hours (couple of days ago) and now "awaiting carrier assignment". I feel there is some genuine issue causing the QC holdup.

btw my SA says he has no additional info other than what is seen online, so I'm unlikely to get any details about the QC delays

Mine just cleared, so you may be right.

The dealer would have to call to have someone do a walk by and get an accurate status check on what the issue is. I have had this done in the past when the issue went on for a while.

Good to hear your car cleared QC. if I'm not mistaken yours is a 4/1 build moved up to 3/31, right?
hoping mine clear the QC soon.
