Bay Area Tint Place
I know everyone had already posted on this topic but I just wanted to know if anyone got their tint from Auto Mall Tint Specialist in Fremont. And I also wanted to know what you guys think about the Sunteck HP Charcoal tint. I was thinking 50% in the front and 35% in the rear.
They said it will cost $300. What do you guys think? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure more than 70% in the front is illegal in California (for the driver's window). Am I wrong?

I dont like it too dark so I would get 25%. And also cause my interior is black so it would look pretty dark even with a slightly lighter tint.

I got my car tinted there with around the same price, same tint (Sunteck HP). My set up was 20% in the back, 30% in the rear passenger sides, 35% in the front . My interior is black as well. If you don't want the tint to look too dark, i'd suggest you to get my set up, which is not dark at all in my opinion. I never got any attention from cops for the tints so far.
Here is my car: For people who want darker tint but not too dark, I'd suggest them getting 20% in the back and rear, and 30% in the front. Steve

Window tint
I wanted the lightest tint possible with good infared heat rejection and went there for Huper Optik 50 percent on all the side windows. Shop recommeded 30 percent HP Charcoal on the back to avoid the film bending issues with the Huper. I went with the 35 percent HP Charcoal in the back and my car looks good. No problems with AM, FM, or Navigation reception.

there is this tint place called California Auto Tint. They specialize in exotics and do work on those for many dealers. It would cost me $375 to do the whole car. They will give me a "diamond warranty" so that if my windows ever get broken, they will tint it for free. They also offer lifetime warranty on the tint. On the other hand, a friend's friend has a shop and he can do it for $200. They dont offer the diamond warranty but they do offer lifetime warranty. Seems like a no brainer but sometimes i prefer quality over cheap price. My friend says they do will do a good job there but im hesitating. ANy comment before I go get it done???

I made a call to Fiberdesign in San Leandro and they can do it for $280 using Suntek Carbon. What is the difference between Suntek Carbon vs. Sunteck HP Charcoal?
I have heard good things about Fiberdesign too. Thanks for the pics, hsiaochinsan.

Suntek HP should be a "hybred" carbon - metallic, as opposed to just carbon, with better infared heat rejection. You can go to the Suntek website to see the specifications.

Auto Mall Tint Specialist guys are pretty good.
I won't Suntek HP if you listen to AM often. I also don't like my glass to be too dark. The thing I do care is keeping out the heat. So I chose Huper Optik and it is great. (Just too expensive)
