Do wheels rub at all in the lowest height setting with spacers in?
And for exhaust trim, I tried ordering both L&R from my local dealer to have the powder coated and they don't see them as available yet.

Any experience with race chip?
I asked RaceChip Germany to work on them.
Unfortunately, there is no X7 in Europe.
So, most likely they will based it on G05 X5 engine.

If any of you guys local to me with 50i, I or RaceChip USA can do datalog and give the data to RaceChip Germany.

I will test the G05 X5 40i setup on my customer's G07 X7 40i and give you guys an update.

So far I have sold few sets to G05 X5 40i and it has been a good feedback.

Now that's kick ass. Definitely custom work in multiple ways.

Notice where they moved the X7 badge. I really like it there.

BMWParts has a couple new things listed for the X7

https://www.getbmwparts.com/c-g07-x7-2019--302

Includes a new 22" "M" wheel and performance tire package, $5,595. I wonder if this will be part of the upcoming M50i or otherwise.

You'll see the BMW Advanced Car Eye 2.0 (dashcam) is also listed now for the X7. I'm intrigued, but it's just so big, especially the one in the rear window.

We're having one installed on our '19 X5 50i right now. The dealer is at a loss to find the right connectors so it's been there for a week (was supposedly a 3 hour job). Will let you know what it looks like when done. I like having a dashcam for safety, and have had some before that were helpful in a minor fender bender where someone changed into my lane without signaling and braked hard (looked like a traditional swoop and squat for insurance fraud, but fortunately it went away... possibly because I had the video). I like that this one connects to the cars proximity sensors and activates in case of a bump or a break in. I've ordered one for my incoming X7, and if we like the one on the X5, I'll pull the trigger.

Interesting, yes please do share more when you have it. Would be interested in final installation pictures, and your impressions. Seems like many people go aftermarket, and I'm curious how this OEM option turns out for the X7.

The difference in size between the front bar and rear bar is substantial, much more than my X5, about 3 inches, so I have the accessories dealer I bought them from confirming that the X7 has a tapered roofline and what I received is correct. I don't doubt it, but I am confirming nonetheless. The front bar doesn't have the wind spoilers and the owners manual shows them in identical sizes so I'm being careful to confirm they fit.

Closing the loop on the roof bars, the part I received is correct and there is a difference in length between the front/rear cross bars and they fit perfectly.

Haven't had the chance to put the cargo box up there but I measured and I'll have no problem getting my Thule connected safely when the time comes.

To any of you third-row first timers taking summer road trips with 6 or 7 passengers, you're going to need a cargo box as there isn't room for luggage in high-passenger situations. I never thought I'd be "one of those cargo box people" but it quickly became apparent with our X5 and certainly with our X7 with Captain's Chairs.

That's good information. Can you post some pictures when you're done? Have you ran into any issues going into underground parking with limited roof clearance? We picked up the X7 as my wife really didn't want a mini-van, the X7 definitely does not beat the utility of a van, so we need to get creative.

So the X7 is 2" taller than my 2016 X5 and I never had any issues within a 2" tolerance so I think it's going to be okay. There might be some garages in Manhattan or other big cities where height would be an issue, but there are plenty of outdoor parking options too.

The only minor concern would be driving to the airport and parking in a garage with the cargo box on the roof. I never tried it with the X5 so I'm not sure about the X7 in that regard. Might need a car service once a year for that scenario.

Above is a photo of the X5 with my Thule Force XL cargo box. The cross bars are the same height, so from the rails-up the look will be identical. Force XL is the right size for a family that needs 6 soft sided duffel bags as that's what fits perfectly inside it.

Advice: May is prime Cargo Box season, so now is the time to get the BMW cross bars for the X7 as they always sell out every year. Buy now and return within 30 days if you change your mind, but get them in your garage before its too late.

Yakima now officially supports the X7. The RailBar fits a XXL up front and XL rear. I probably will get those, because they come in black

By supports do you mean they list a few cross bars as compatible?

In my 2016 X5 it was noticeable but not bad. In the X7, with all the double-pane glass and soundproofing, I don't think I'll hear it at all, but I haven't put the cargo box up yet to test the theory.

That happens on Memorial Day weekend later in May.

Yup. I figured the railbars should be compatible, but glad they gave it the official go ahead.
