Someone at dealer I picked up my winters at had this going on on his roof. Ill sealed third row sunroof. Maybe excess glue, or maybe misplaced. They need to water test, possible replace. Bush league stuff, in my opinion. Reminds me of range rover days....

It's stuff like that, that I hope they rapidly identify quality control issues and fix right away, for 2019 models, even before MY 2020 production starts.

I'm sure there are. They may be too busy enjoying their rig, to have time to come post here, unlike poor schmucks like me that haven't ordered yet.

Right there with you .... still trying to convince the better half that a $90+k car is worth it.

I get compliments on this car every day. Those that get into the car cannot stop saying 'wow'. Best car I have ever driven. Almost 6 wks of driving so far, fantastic! Now I look for reasons to go out just to be able to enjoy another great ride. However, I have disabled the lane departure assist. I love the X7 smooth ride and do not want to mess that up with frequent steering vibrations from lane departure alerts even at the lowest intensity.

Agreed. Lane assist veered me towards a pedestrian the other day, at an intersection where the lane narrows. I had to fight the wheel a bit. Good thing I was paying attention.

Hi, is there a way to decrease sensitivity?

some of you are insane, with all due respect. enjoy your vehicles!

fyi that glue issue is a known issue. you can just peel it off by hand then clean up the residue as necessary.

We have had ours for about 2 weeks and so far liking it very much. Drives and handles like a sports car despite its size and weight. What is remarkable is that the car doesn't feel massive at all behind the wheel. We got the M Sport and like it a lot but in retrospect probably should have gone with the regular version as we think we like the chrome trim better when viewed in person (and it would have been cheaper &#128512

Do your doors look like this?

Just noticed this on our 2-week old vehicle. Seems like there should be some kind of caulking instead of just an open gap? Haven't had time yet to come back to the dealer to check if this is normal.

It's the door drain and normal. Everyone one of my BMWs for the past 18 years has it.

Also if you see yellow waxy gunk coming out of it, it's Cosmoline (rust preventative) applied during manufacturing. Most of it gets washed off at VPC and ends up inside the door where it seeps out - more so during summer months when it gets hot.

You can use a mild detergent or solvent to clean it off. Just don't let it sit for too long as it'll harden and becomes a pain in the arse to clean it off later.

The new paints, leathers, and interior trims were specified for August availability, so presumably that would start MY2020 production. It'd be a bit strange for BMW to start new options with only 1-2 months left in a model year. Unknown when they'd hit showrooms.

By design, it's a drain for any water captured inside the door.

So far my biggest complaint is that when I'm on the interstate, EVERYONE IS GOING SO SLOW that I'm about to lose my mind. Then I realize I'm doing between 85 and 100 (not exaggerating) and that I'M THE PROBLEM.
