Please recommend tires to replace 22" runflat

Newly picked up x7 M50i. Everything is perfect except it was not as quiet as someone claimed "dead quiet".
Car has stock 22" M V-spoke cerium grey wheels, run flat tires.
Do you know any good tires I can replace those for better noise control?
All weather is ideal because we may go Tahoe 2-3 times a year in winter time. other than that, weather condition here in the bay area is great.
no rain at all

Thank you.

I don't think there are any all season tires in the factory 22" sizes. At least not available in the USA. If you want all season and quiet, you'll likely have to move to a 21" wheel.
I have 21" with the factory bridgestone alenza non run flat and it is super quiet.

Thank you. So that means I need a whole set of 21" wheels. What's that cost will be?

That doesn't come in the factory 315/35-R22 size for the rears.
You would have to go 315/30-R22 with a lower weight rating or 325/35-R22 which may or may not fit.

correct. a few of us now are running them in 285/325 with no issues and lowered, just a little loud.

I've seen some advertise factory take offs for around $3k to $4k. you could probably pickup a set of after market 21" rims with tires for a little less than that.

Couldn't one just go with 285/40-22 all around? It is just .4 inch larger (31.1") in diameter than the staggered set up (30.7"). I'd like to go 285/45-22 all around to get a bit more sidewall, but not sure they would fit.

I would like to do the same eventually but I want someone else to try it first 😂

Going with the 40 series all around set is an idea also. There is another post on here with an owner posting pictures of how it looks, especially in the rear with the wider 22" rim. The front looked good but the rear looked a little suspect but the owner said it rides fine with no issues, so you can keep the 22" wheel look that most of us fell in love with and just put the 22" winter tires on them.

Thanks for sharing. This will most likely be my next set up of tires.

Been on these since August. No issues at all. I don't even visually notice the narrower rear tire width anymore. And I doubt any others do either, unless they are anal BMW drivers (Like most of us).

I have been looking into an x5/x7 for the family hauler, most likely an x7, but I am deeply annoyed that upgrading from the base wheels on the BMW suvs results in awkward tire sizes with only a couple options.

One would think BMW would understand the desire for the premium wheels AND all season suv tires and either engage some tire manufacturers and offer a factory all season set or choose the factory wheel/tire options based on more common options.

it's pretty trivial to buy stock size rims with better offsets

I did Pirelli SCORPION AS PLUS 3 - SIZE: 285/45R22 all around on stock 22s and they fit perfect.

Also ride is extremely smooth and quiet.

They look great on your car.

Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II 285/45R22 114H https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BHV68LK...312V9Z9YNEYNMR

Is this ? Is the price right?

I also read a review on this tire: the Scorpions appear to use more fuel! I was easily averaging about 9.8litres/100km on the old tyres at 41psi - the Scorpions went straight to 10.6l/100km

Do you feel the same?

Hey! Thanks. Those Verdes are different. The Scorpion AS Plus 3s were just released this year.

285-40-22 all around….is that all seasons, winters or summer tires?

That's my winter setup on stock 755M wheels. I wanted square for winter.
