The irony and or ignorance of this comment is telling.

I live in a Suburb of Dallas and by far, the drivers of every Escalade I see (which is alot) are White middle aged females followed by White Males young and older. Neither appear to be Rappers or Pimps.
Not sure where you live.

My wifes pimp hand is pretty strong...as a current (but not particularly enthusiastic) Escalade owner I must say, this is a pretty strong offering.

I must say, I am not super impressed with Cadillac, I really would like to be. I have owned some nice brands, purchased or in a couple of cases leased, new (only significant to comment on the dealer experience). I have had BMWs (M3, 335, X5, M5), and Audi (S4), Porsche (Cayenne S, Boxster S) I mention these only for context.

I would say that the Cadillac build quality is on par with my BMWs, better in some ways, not as good in others. The Audi was a bit better then either brand, and the Porsches smoked all of them.

The real difference, where Caddy falls on its face is the dealership, more specifically the service experience. The German brands have this dialed in, loaner cars, washing and cleaning of you car before its returned. Its not the people that you deal with, my Cadillac guy is great, and its the same guy every time (same with my Porsche experience, not with BMW or Audi), its just that the GM dealers don't/can't take that extra little step.

With the exception of the M5 the Escalade is the most expensive vehicle of the group, the 335 was the least expensive, the dealership experience with the BMW was FAR superior (the two dealers are about 2 miles apart, so it not like its a 'different' area).

Exactly! We own a 15.5 ESV and will likely replace it in another year or two with another. With 3 sports playing kids, 2 large dogs, and the need for 4WD for our beach house, the ESV is one of the few vehicles that meets our needs. I'm excited to see the new one and see how it's been even better differentiated from the Suburban and Denali's.

I do agree with the other post- having owned multiple mainstream luxury brands- the Cadillac dealership is very subpar. It's what I'd expect at a regular GM dealership.

Not a bad car! Interior seems to be a BMW interior rip-off. I would still roll with the X7 M50i.

Looks like the front end was smashed into a wall. Which makes it look out of portion.

As for those comparing to a BMW, in some states it is a BMW (Big Mormon Wagon).

(And if anyone is worried those of the LDS faith call it that too).

These articles are from 5-7 years ago before the current generation even went on sale. Still they do give us context from that time period.

What I like in the 2021 Escalade:
- Independent rear suspension
- Optional audio system with 35 speakers
- Air suspension with magnetic ride control
- Interior

What I sense will be the reasons why BMW X5M (or X4MC) will wind up in my garage:
- GM dealer service experience
- First year reliability is likely to be subpar
- GM's aging 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque
Aging relative to what? The L87 just debuted in 2019.

Don't be embarrassed. Say it with your chest!
Some people (especially people on this board) hate on the Escalade, but it is a good value when it's time to seriously consider a large SUV.

I like the idea of OLED screens but I don't like the double frame look. To me, it looks like someone just decided to add a second screen.

New Escalade V Spied with Glorious 6.2L V8 from CT5-V Blackwing

Listen to the Cadillac Escalade V's Burly Supercharged V-8

And this time you can hear its powerful V-8 at full throttle. Even though Cadillac said the 10Best-winning CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwings would be the last gas-powered V cars, it appears this powerful three-row SUV will soon arrive as an American alternative to other super-SUVs such as the Mercedes-AMG GLS63.

It's not yet clear if the Escalade V will also use the Blackwing name, but it is expected to use the same engine as the CT5-V Blackwing. The supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V-8 makes 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque in that sedan, and the quad-tip exhaust seen on these Escalade prototypes looks similar to the Blackwing's. We expect the LT4's output to be lower in the Escalade V, however. Currently, the Escalade is offered with two engine choices: a 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 or a turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six.

Both standard- and long-wheelbase configurations will be available, as the V prototype seen in this clip is the stretched Escalade ESV. Other than the quad exhaust tips, the V should feature black trim and other styling elements to set it apart from the standard Escalades. It'll also come equipped with Cadillac's adjustable magnetorheological dampers, upgraded brakes, and other chassis enhancements.

Check back for more information on the Cadillac Escalade V in the coming months as the high-performance model is expected to arrive by the end of the year.

First estimates suggest a lap time around your local Costco in under two minutes and a fuel consumption of five gallons per mile. But the real question is whether the “Escalade-V” comes with a manual transmission…

Service Experience.

I have used several Cadillac dealers over the years and the overall experience has been favorable, based on 2 conditions. 1}The Cadillac dealer is a stand alone dealership, not combined with other brands, i.e. Cadillac/Buick/GMC. 2) If the dealer has other brands, they are also premium brands. Sewell Village Cadillac in Dallas and Parker Cadillac in Little Rock are both outstanding dealers. Conglomerate dealerships with entry level brands integrated with their premium brands are a total crap shoot. I seems that they are pulled down to the lowest common denominator in their attitude toward customers. I drive 60 miles to Little Rock for service or any other things regarding my Escalade than going to the local Hot Springs dealer that is a huge conglomeration of brands. I will not enter the local Cadillac dealer and be treated as if I am bringing in a bottom line Nissan. By the way the Little Rock BMW Dealer has the same problem. They could learn a lot from the Cadillac dealer 2 miles away about customer service.
