You definitely can. I don't think mine was supposed to come with this electronic valve control box - not mentioned on the sales page or in the install videos I've seen of this exhaust. so happy shipping accident?

Normally you would just transfer over the stock box to which the VD has a bracket for and it would function same as stock.

I didn't. I confirmed it was a fitment issue with the VD pipe, but I was able to wedge some plastic in between to spread them apart enough to fit. Here's a pic of the VD pipe with the downpipe flange before wedging.

just wanted to jump in again and say that this was my first time installing an exhaust ever so i’m a total noob. I’m not sure if what i experienced is expected fitment challenges with any exhaust setup, and i haven’t heard any fitment issues on the VD exhaust from other posters, youtube videos etc. if a shop installed this for me, they may have figured out how to get it to fit and never have mentioned it. idk.

but all this this to say VD support has been great and i installed the rest of the exhaust yesterday without issue. the quality seems super high, not just the welds but also how nice the sections fit together. really impressed!!

You can use the stock valves with the exhaust. I swapped mine over and I didn't have to use the controller box, etc.

Quick short vid of mine:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/bKFScVme58U

Starts off with valve closed, and then open about part way through.

I'll get a drive-by soon for comparison.

Just had my titanium exhaust installed this week and it looks and sounds better than all of the set-up's I've had, even with the MPE. Although MPE is among the best, I have to give it to Valvetronics for coming with the V2. It sounds like no other and videos don't do it justice. [/QUOTE]

The single mid with the MPE is raspy mainly bc it's a titanium muffler, so it's part of what produces that raspy sound. But once you add resonators (6-9") it cleans up the sound a lot, deeper idle, just an over all cleaner sound. It's not a bad rasp to me, but a TR251 to TR254 resonator should clean it up. Catted downpipes clean rasp too and sounds throatier, which I prefer. Catless dp's will bring out the rasp more plus the MPE.

Ah yeah true. Hope I can do a resonated dps + eql mid + non titanium v2 Valvetronics (heard there's another model that's made differently) to eliminate nearly all rasp

I’m just wondering if it’s going to be worth it since I live in Cali and don’t want to go catless. I want something that’s going to be louder than my setup (stock mufflers with unresonted AA EL and stock DP) and just as quiet with valves closed that still passes inspection. Maybe the answer is valvetronic plus 200cell high flow cats?

this will be the perfect setup for you then. the sound is still quite agressive with OEM downpipes. Just as quiet as stock with the valves closed. 200 cell cats is quite loud actually

Thanks. Right now with the windows down it’s just way too quiet lol. And that low range sound still kind of sounds like a lawn mower until I get the revs up high. Is the group but still going on or did I miss it? Thanks for replying.

unfortunately the group buy has passed but we do have a few more systems in stock! The single midpipe configuration gives the deepness down low and the equalization section gives a high pitch enjoyable frequencies at 4500 RPM and above. We guarantee you won’t feel short changed with this set up.

Is this a new config or the original in the video in the beginning of the thread?
