Running boards for X7

I am looking to buy running boards for my X7 (2023) preferably from the same year, I heard 2022s will fit too.

I've got a set in the garage that are new in the box since I decided to go with electric running boards. They're not OEM but pretty much identical https://www.ebay.com/itm/125324213901?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=xvbmkwjutwg&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=pMglTl0QS_ 2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

If you don't mind how much are they charging total?

Parts + labor

Also does it need to be painted after it arrives or is it coming color matched?

They say it’s $1600.00 for parts not sure about labor.

But I don’t have to pay as I negotiated it while buying a car, at the time of delivery I noticed there are no running boards and my daughter was having hard time getting in and out, sales person said parts shop is closed and I till get a call and installed by tomorrow, next day no call, I went on my Xmas vacation, few days later sales manager called for “rating” I explained the situation about running boards , at first he tried his best to push off stating that “BMW does not offer running boards for 2023 X7 and they don’t install incorrect parts” that’s why no one called and they can’t install, but then I made him realize that i bought the car because I was getting the running boards.

Long story short, found another dealer who is willing to retrofit 2022 running boards to my 2023 vehicle, I sent all the details to my dealer asking for reimbursement if they don’t want to do it by themselves. Finally, my dealer agreed to “try to install”. Will see how it goes next week!!

Funny how dealers will work with you when you let them know you'll take your money somewhere else

Hopefully they retrofit! I bought a 2021 seven months ago and picking we're slim so I told my wife not to worry and I'll just retrofit running boards thinking it wouldn't be much since it was only 1k as an option during a build. Ended up getting quoted 1300 and 700 for labor lol. I would look at oem running boards online, they shouldn't be 1600 for the boards alone.

If they don't work than your only option will be electric running boards. They're pretty sweet and the kids and wife definitely appreciates them

Edit: nvmd I see you got them for free!

We’re you able to get those retrofitted? Curious to see how it looks?

What was specifically done to retrofit them?

What is specific issue that makes them incompatible?

Do you have a part number for the ones you put on?

Did this delete the jackpads? This was the issue I had with the electric retracting ones, they would mount at the jackpads and there for making service issues...

Please advise, I really appreciate it.

Nothing out of the way was done, I gave it to the dealer and they just installed it. Since it was original it used original way of installing and did not compromise jackpads.
Not sure why BMW online did not mark 2022 running boards compatible with LCI23.

Looks great! Congrats! Would you have a part number for the 2022 running boards? Thank you in advance!
