Need some help here.I know they are marking up the money factor but what else can I inquire about? Overall is this a good deal?
Am I better off buying vs leasing at this point? Because giving $52k in payments after 3 years then returning the car doesnt sound right lol |

There is still something fishy and it has to do with my question from before: Quote:
There won't be much difference b/w leasing and financing. Current finance rates are 5.29-5.79% and since they already marked up MF for leasing, they will most likely add the usual 1% finance markup so your interest rate is more like 6.29-6.79%! Your monthly payment of course will boil down to how large your downpayment is during signing. Good luck! |

Well, I Pulled the Trigger Today….
After a test drive and a hassle-free negotiation with a Chicago area BMW Dealer, I pulled the trigger on a new build for a 2024 BMW X7 M60i at 4.25% below MSRP 👍. It’s a fully loaded build and there are no stop sales so I am getting everything I want on this car. While it is definitely not a direct replacement for my 2019 Cayenne Turbo, this will be the best - and most fun - car that suits my new needs. Since X7’s are manufactured in South Carolina the car will only take 39 days from the acceptance of the build to delivery, which is a vast improvement over the 4+ months it took for my 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo S to be built and delivered to Chicago last year. All in, I get a new build delivered in less than 2 months at under MSRP, so overall I’m feeling good about where I landed in this, particularly when Range River wanted $50k more and 6 months longer for a car with less significantly performance and sketchy reliability! Thanks for all the input and suggestions, and will surely be looking for guidance on options before I kick my build over the next 10 days. Now I have to get ready to sell my Cayenne Turbo 😩 |

In the lower right hand corner, you have 3 numbers before "Due on Delivery". Advanced Payments = $1417.37 (this is your first month's payment and matches the monthly payment to the left). Upfront charges = $1124.08 (supposedly DMV, fees, etc). Total of the above is $2541.45, which matches the "Due on Delivery". You have a $1000 rebate but where does it come in? It doesn't figure into the financed amount above so surely it is removed below. There is a "Total Cap Reduction" listed below of $1k (assumed to be the rebate). It doesn't reduce the $2541.45 total so what did it do? My guess is they went back to the old "Upfront Charges" of $2k+ and the $1k rebate reduced the "Upfront Charges" to $1124.08. If you're ok with that, then this is the last I'll write about this! Last edited by EWL5; 01-27-2024 at 02:34 PM.. |

If you're happy w/the terms as is, there's no need to ask. I just have trouble paying over $2k in fees when I know DMV, registration, etc. doesn't cost that much! I think you are within your right to see the breakdown of the fees! |

The $925 BMWFS acquisition fee is probably combined with the DMV and $85 dealer doc fee. You can pay it upfront, or bury it in your payment. The deal looks correct except it's not 9% off msrp

BMW X760i
Looking to custom order a M60i, this is the build spec
https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-ow...nhg19i/summary Local dealer (based out of Seattle) is currently offering 5% of MSRP on inventory on the lot but isn't budging on custom orders. Seeing the 5-9% discounts here is crazy. Anything I can do to atleast get some % off ? I am motivated and can put a deposit immediately. Thanks for the help. |

We just got the production number for a BMW X7 40i. The place where we test drived the car in early December in NJ did not want to offer any discounts (broker mentioned that it is decided at corporate level) as we did not get one from the lot. Another issue is that we got the youngest sales person and had no idea about the options, incentives available, etc. even if I met the dealer manager, the experience was horrible (I knew more about the car than him and he even canceled our appointment a couple of times minutes before).
We sent the broker the build info in mid December according to my wife’s preferences. The broker has been having a lot of issues and he was open to get it from a dealer outside NJ area, even with shipping cost. Finally, the build is the same place I got my car. I will give you more info once we have all details but not having high expectations. I think NY/NJ area might be harder plus BMW had a record year in 2023. |

I got mine last month here in NY with 4% off MSRP with 2.99% for 60mos. I've called a bunch of dealerships and no one came close to 8-9% discount. NJ was a bit lower but was not worth the travel. I spoke to the broker via email and he seemed legit and told me he can get me 8% off MSRP with 599 flat broker fee. Good deal, yes but didn't wanted to lose the promo rate and also using a broker just felt iffy at the time.

trying to decide whether to pull the trigger today on a custom 40i build going into production any minute with delivery March or April since we live in SoCal. The question is (and I know this is a bit of a crystal ball) but are February incentives typically better than January? The dealer is doing the maximum 1% markup on the interest rate and 6.29% is hard to swallow.
