I find it funny to have loyalty credit on some BMW models and not on other. It almost implies that your loyalty only counts for some of their cars. I appreciate that all of this is just a pricing mechanism but from a marketing perspective it should probably be called something else or made available to all returning BMW buyers.

Hey! I am in MD and have tried dealerships from Charlotte to New York and cannot even get 7% off of a 2019 White M Sport. Can I have your contact?

aw9ninteen,
Try Atlanta GA dealerships. I got 11% off an instock 2020 X7 40i. You could probably get 12% now or more. You can PM me and I will tell you which dealership. |

Of course I can give you the contact. But as I mentioned, they told me they gave me the offer because they want to make a selling number before deadline. But still never hurt for a try.

I got 14% off on my 2019 50i + incentives. 0 DAS 1st mo included 1000/mo
MSRP was 107k. It was the last MY2019 50i at the dealership. Production date was 3/18/19 and it has laser lights which were still included in the Executive package at that time. |

I do still think that the new Mercedes GLS that's about to hit the streets in a few weeks, will take some of the demand away from the X7. Hoping that translates into better deals for the rest of us.

And as you said, once they roll out in higher numbers AND the MY19s X7 disappear from the lots, there is potential for better deals. |

I'm actually planning on getting the XC60 as our second vehicle for my mother and while the B&W in the Volvos is as good as it gets, I think we should not define the quality of a vehicle on its sound system.

Really? What makes the XC90's Bowers and Wilkins audio system better then the BMW X7's Bowers and Wilkins audio system? Although, the Bowers and Wilkins Audio System is only available on the 50i and M50i. It's not an available option on the 40i.

Near as I can tell, the Bowers & Wilkins systems in BMW and Volvo are pretty comparable, so I'm not sure what the basis is for the "X7 can't compete in that category" comment. There's a PDF info sheet on the X7's B&W system available to download here, and here's the only info I could find on Volvo's version.
They seem similar, but the X7 uses a 20-channel 1475W amp vs the 12-channel 1400W amp in the Volvo. The X7 also has one more speaker than the Volvo — 20 rather than 19. If there's any practical difference between the two, I'm sure it's negligible. |

So presumably, even though the website configurator doesn't show it, you can still order an X7 40i with the B&W audio. |

Sound system is probably one of the last items most of us focus on in our choice of cars. Especially with BMWs that are more of driver's cars.

Hah, never even thought about the audio until I read a post on here about how good a live "Money for Nothing" HD track sounded... pure nostalgia, and I was out $3400 the next day on the upgrade
Does anyone remember who posted that or how to get that track? Has anyone tried Amazon's new HD streaming service with the car? |

Haha. That might have been me. I'm a pseudo-audiophile, and Dire Straits' "Money for Nothing" on the 20th Anniversary Brothers in Arms album is probably my #1 demo material for any sound system. Since I don't have my X7 yet, I haven't played it in an X7 yet, though.
Since you asked, I get most of my HD music from www.hdtracks.com . They don't have the Brothers In Arms album, but do have other Mark Knopfler albums. The BIA 20th Anniversary album is available high-res on SACD and DVD-Audio discs, but I haven't found it yet as an HD digital file. (I ripped my own digital track off the CD layer of my SACD) Not sure whether to apologize, or be proud, for prompting a bro to splurge on the B&W! |
