My new car - arrived at dealer
Now I just have to wait for the wagon version to come out too!! This beauty is sitting in my dealer's showroom. The salespeople don't even touch it with their bare hands!
Someone ordered it and then backed out! I'd hate to be paying interest on this thing!

looking at the price list: well, no shit there's no charge for metallic paint and leather, they better be standard on a 450,000 car.
sux to be the dealer, but guess there'll be a lucky buyer that can haggle the price down a bit to maybe like 449,500

I saw one at the dealership when comparing the C-class to the 3 series. MSRP was $460k and they ADDED $120k MARKUP!!!! The car came out to $580,000. HOly smoke that's a freaking house right there. WOW!!

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the SLR is a limited edition (3500 in total as I recall). So i don't think it will be to hard for the dealer to get rid of it...
I think there is a huge waiting list for these babies, and probably someone rich enough, will be extremely happy to lay their hands on it without even waiting. |

I have seen/heard one of these on the track - when it barrelled past us, it sounded just like a WWII Spitfire & gave everyone watching goosebumps

My receptionist was walking along one Sunday morning a bit distraught about the recent passing of a family member, and a brand new gull-winged Mercedes pulled up next to her (I can only assume it was one like this). The driver asked her what was wrong, and then asked, "if I were to offer you a ride in my new Mercedes, would that help cheer you up?" The driver was Jay Leno.

Yeah, I knew Leno had one. He's quite a collector. I was just glad to be able to see one of these beauties in person. Maybe years from now they'll be found at car shows or collector's meets, but for now they are very rare.

They should ship it over to Beverly Hills -- people buy them over there. When I was driving around there I saw a black one parked on the side of the road, being passed by ANOTHER black one driving by.
oh yeah and it was parallel parked in front of a F355. Gotta love Rodeo Drive. |
