Need advice on 791M 19” wheels for my 2018 530e

Hello,
I am interested in buying a used set of factory BMW 791M 19inches wheels. I believe they come from a 3-series.

Any advice they would work on my 2018 530e?

- front 8JET27 rear 8.5J ET40
- 5×112
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 15,000km mileage done
Front 235/40 R19 rear 255/35 R19
Front 13mm rear 15mm spacer

The recommended wheel fit are by BMW;
Front:
245/45R18
245/45R18
245/40R19
245/40R19
245/35R20

Rear:
275/40R18
275/35R19
275/30R2

5x112 is the correct offset for the G30. They will fit, the only concern is will they clear the front M-Sport brakes if you have them. The spacers should help with this.

Thank you Joe! I don’t have m sport brake so that’s a green light for me.

In terms of the tire width being 235/255 front/rear, which is significantly narrow than 245/275, would it be any disadvantage?
Lastly another rookie questions, does one choose symmetrical vs asymmetrical tire set depending on the car is an X drive or not? TIA

You'll have less unsprung weight, but a disadvantage in traction and grip.

I would stick with the stock setup or upgrade the fronts to something wider, as the 245 spec up front feels almost undertired to me in the twisties. One of the main advantages of the M5 setup are the 275 fronts. Cars in this class are heavy.

I’m a stock OEM tire size guy. I never deviate from the sizes put on at the factory. A lot of people do though that can weigh in or you can search. Plenty of threads on that topic.

Nice looking wheels BTW.

More information is needed to know if they would fit …

For the wheels:
You need the stock wheel sizes and offset and you need the new wheels size and offset the 5 x 112 is the lug pattern. That only tells you the wheels can be mounted and the lugs will line up.

For the tires you need to use a tire calculator to see if the diameter changes which if it does could affect many things such as your speedometer reading, the stability control, the traction control, etc.

Here is a link to a tire calculator
https://tiresize.com/calculator/

Once you figure that out you can then figure out the wheel and tire weight to see if it will effect performance, all wheels and tires weigh differently even if the sizes are the same. A heavier set up can affect acceleration. I find Bridgestones tires are usually on the heavier side where Continentals usually are on the lighter side but this all really varies and there are websites that give tire weights so you can compare.
