Lol I am glad I am not the only one who absolutely hates aftermarket wheels on BMW's.

I think they look so fricking ugly and ruin the look of the car. Here in Ireland we would call that the "Max Power" brigade.

I just feel that BMW's tend to have very clean lines and look best with the simpler styles of alloys that they themselves include in the standard & accessories brochures.

These busy/deep dished/multicoloured wheels do not suit the E90 at all IMO. They work on Imprezas/Evo's but not on BMW's.

Nice/interesting!

A friend of mine(M3 2005 SMG) and my BMW dealer are currently building a E39 M5 5.0 V8 engine in a E90 chassis/body for Dutch Supercar Racing next year. Specs roughly: 1100kgs/500DIN HP. Car shall be ready to race at the end of this year.

I have to disagree that all aftermarket wheels look bad on BMW's, I mean many aftermarket wheels look like stock wheels anyway so that's overgeneralizing. Anyways, I personally think the BBS LM's are one of the most beautiful wheels ever made... it's got the design you see on race cars and the look of it isn't overdone. To each his own, and for me these wheels rock! :rocks:

No, unfortunately not. Runflats need wheels that are suited to runflats and have the so called dubble-hump. You can run non-RFT tires on RFT wheels but not vice versa. (Well actually you can but then they loose their runflat capability).
I donīt think BBS has any rRFT-compatible wheels jet. And if they do, probably not the style you want.

And about a year later BMW will bring out the M3 V8 that, when stripped to race-spec will be very similar

The trouble some people go through just to be first...

And then there allready is someone who put the MV8 into the 1 series....

If its not for the look than take into consideration that most BMW wheels are more expensive than alot of aftermarket wheels and they also weigh alot more. Its not because the BMW wheels use superior building technology its because most of the wheels use Racing technology and incomparison to the BMW and BMW accessory wheels theyre indestructable.

From what ive seen the only wheels from BMW that look good on the e90 are the stock sport package wheels. The fact that you could buy better looking, lighter (decreases unsprung weight and therefore helps cornering) wheels for the same price or sometimes less than what BMW sells is why most people buy aftermarket wheels.

In looking for aftermarket wheels I have often found that not only are wheel weights really hard to find, but also that most aftermarket wheels are actually heavier than the BMW wheels.

what wheels and what size? It also depends on how much youre spending. Of course a 19 x 10 wheel is going to weigh more than the stock 17 or 18s. If you go with a nice wheel say for arguments sake O.Z Superleggras then they are obviously lighter than stock. IMO BMW wheels are heavy, well atleast the ones i looked into concerning the e46.

Of course Iīm not about to compare apples and oranges. Iīve been comparing stock 17inchers with aftermarket 17inchers and stock 18inchers with aftermarket 18inchers. Same width of course.

Interstingly I find that on the E90 330i the lightest wheel I could find is the BMW style 158 at 9.38kg each. Short of some exotic magnesium BBS I couldnīt find anything lighter.

Iīm not into bigger/wider wheels. Iīm looking for the lightest.

you should look at BBS RCs (which the CSL wheels are based on), the RK, or the RGRs (forged)

Dawg, I feel you ... but trust me, you want the 19" wheels on your ride! The difference is crystal clear! Trust me!

I have 19" wheels on my E90 and when you park my vehicle next to a sport package 330i on 18's ... man, they look dimunitive, its unbelievable! 19's fill up the wheel wells and give you that lowered look effect. When you look at it from the rear ... oh my, it is sooo inviting! LOL

I have the exact same size tires on my car, the only difference is that mine are 9.5 in the rear ... Those 10" width are wicked!

Those are some low offsets (but they look damn good). I wonder what they would look like with the +32 offset front and rear (which is what BBS recomends for the LM's on an E90 sedan).

Love those 19s LMs wonder if they are rubbing? Seems to be another good wheel choice. If not the M3 competition wheels

Bump for the sickest wheel fitments I've seen on an E90 yet.

Since we're on the subject, are other non BBS knock offs not forged, but casted aluminum?
