My car (1M) finished production yesterday and my PCD is scheduled for Sept 30th. I think the plant in Spartanburg may be closing for two weeks in August and therefore it has backed up PCDeliveries because of the plant tours they conduct. When I ordered my 135 in June of 2008, I took my PCD on 8/8/8. (easy to remember)

I don't think plant closings have an effect on the PCD because they are seperate buildings and when I did PCD last week a few of the people had done PCD before and said that the plant was closed last time they did it. So that led me to believe that they are independent.

It seems that PCD is limited to like 6 ppl a day so there is generally a delay. My car sat in the US for about a month waiting for PCD.

That's what my dealer told me, but he could be wrong.

tkbr0wn, if you decided not to do PCD, do you know when you would get your car? Much earlier I suppose.

Yes, I would assume early sept since it is headed to a boat right now. Looks like a 3-4 week delay for PCD.

I think there are a lot of variables. Such as waiting on a boat for transport, waiting at the dock for customs clearance, waiting on transportation to the PC and then waiting for a slot. BMWNA should be able to give you a ballpark time pretty soon. My car came in in early July back in 08 and was delivered at the PC on the 19th of July. However, I think PC deliveries have become increasingly popular which means potentially longer delays in deliveries. I think the more flexible you can be on dates the better you will be. You might want to check with Jonathan at the other forum site (at the Performance Center Delivery sub forum).
