Almost 3500 miles in 2 weeks of ownership. 40i is a beast to drive. Racked up most of the driving back from PCD delivery to Bay Area. Fingers crossed it stays this way not sure why would anyone buy V8. Have a hard time keeping this car under 100 and keep getting speed limit warning over 100 all the time lol!!

I am guessing lemon law doesn't apply to me as they have not done any work expect the first time they asked me to reset the car. This is really concerning now.
What did the dealership end up saying bud?

We have a similar issue. 2023 x7 40i.
Initially the remote start stopped working.
Then signs of power supply. Finally message displayed was drivetrain malfunction. Sitting with dealer; and ours is not the only car with the similar issue at the same service center.

They updated the software and no issues after that. I have put on 2k plus miles after the update.

Does anyone know if the 40i and 60i use the same fuel pump and relay? Or are we not seeing issues on 60i because it's a smaller % of the population.

I noticed your location says "MOON". Could the lack of oxygen have something to do with the problem LOL?

Drivetrain Issue

I got hit today, 40i with 1260 miles. Seems like a lot of fuel pump issues. Is that enough to get a buy back if it takes the dealer more than 30 working days? They didn't even have a loaner available for 10 days, the 24th...

Any insight would be appreciated. I definitely didn't expect this when buying a 100k car.

This issue just happened to me too. Probably is the fuel pump as well. Now sitting on the side of road in the dark waiting for tow truck.

That is unfortunate. Do you know when your X7 was built? Have you received a software update recently?

My car seems to have the same issue. Any other problems after your fuel pump relay is replaced? Hope I can get my car back soon.

Do we know if they have changed the fuel pump to a more reliable one?

An update. Finally got our X7 back after 5 weeks.
They installed a new transmission. Hopefully no more issues going forward
