11/2023.42 Update

Dealer just upgraded me to 11/2023.42 while in for my annual service. Not sure what it included?

P.S. My Bowers and Wilkins center speaker LED is still stuck in white since the 07/2023.53 OTA update last month. Dealer is saying they believe BMW removed this feature permanently for some reason. Ridiculous.

P.S.S. They also thought they could manually update my 2023 to iDrive 8.5 but as we all know now it's not in the cards. That was a fail.

Does anybody know what this update entailed/release notes? I’m on 07 still and had a bunch of coding done that I don’t want to lose. Vehicle has been running flawless with this software so unless there’s some major improvement the 11 update brings I’m tempted to not do it.

After I updated my '23 X7 M60i to 7/23, the Bowers and Wilkins logo no longer changes color. Also the valves for the exhaust do not open when I cold start in sport plus. It used to do that before.

The B&W color limitation might be related to some agreement between B&W and BMW…. I could be wrong, but one possibility is that B&W wanted their speakers in the BMW cars to always be different or appear in white to be distinguished…. That’s the only reason for anyone to touch the coding lines for the speakers as they released the new update…. I hope that’s not the case though.

How do you cold start in Sport Plus? My car always starts in Comfort. Do you mean immediately pressing Sport after starting?

I have 7/23, and I am almost certain the minute I hit Sport, the exhaust valves open, it's very loud right after a cold start.

You can code it to start in sport plus.

Honestly not sure what I’m going to do when my 2020 X7 dies and my only choice is to be stuck with the new idrive that won’t let you code anything. BMW is supposed to be about the drive and I want to sit in my car, turn it in, and drive - not screw with settings every single flipping time.
