Cascading Issues - Anyone else??

I custom ordered a brand new 2023 X7 X40i in Dravit Grey with every option, Large black M Sport wheels, Blue M Sport Brakes, full Alcanterra interior, etc etc etc.

We picked up the X7 on June 5th 2023

Since then we have had the following laundry list of issues.....

Anyone else experiencing this?

* The car has been in the shop 5 times maybe 6 since we bought it.
* Continued Apple CarPlay and connectivity issues - Constant, very irritating, and inconvenient to have to spend 10-15 minutes trying to connect your phone to play music or talk on the phone
* Voice-to-text typically doesn't work.....example of how glitchy it is
We had a few weeks right when we bought the car where you just couldn't connect your phone after some auto update the car did - so no connectivity whatsoever
* Constant "Drive Train Malfunction" error message that pops up and goes away (still happening today)
* Check Engine light comes on, then goes off...... no reason? Right now its been consistently on
* This month, the whole left side of the main display screen on the driver's side goes *completely* black. Can't see anything..... then will randomly come back on.
* Oil Overfill....we came in for a routine oil change and then a day or so after we had an oil overfill warning light and had to bring it back in and wait like 2 hours. I don't know if this was the Mechanic's fault (which if so, stuff happens) ..... Or if this was another error with the vehicle itself and nothing to do with the mechanic. I assume the dealers techs are factory BMW certified and they wouldn't overfill the oil - Making me think it was another vehicle-related issue.
* The other day i started the vehicle remotely from the app, when i got outside the vehicle was revving up and down (not smoothly) very odd, when i got in, it said you can still drive but not to exceed a certain speed or something..... once i drove it the revving up and down stopped....
* There is a recall on the rockers i think that the vehicles going in for next week, i believe it's a 3 days job..

At this point, the issues are ridiculous and almost comical.

Is anyone else having these issues?

So disheartening to have this experience with a brand-new luxury SUV.

No issues at all here. Picked up wifey's 2023 X7 40i in Sept 2022. Its loaded including B&W AND DHP. Very early LCI Build. Now has 17000 miles. Everything works as it should.

Had a 23 x7 I picked up Nov’22, only real issue was a highlight that wouldn’t level, which between being misdiagnosed and parts back order I waited about 6 months… with 3 in a loaner x5… and I nearly lemoned for that…. I would 100% get rid of that POS. Infuriates me reading that …

Garage List
Knock on wood haven’t had any issues with our 2022 X7. Just passed 40K km on it and have also used it for towing thousands of km’s as well. Planning on extending warranty and keeping it long term.

So sorry to hear this OP but the LCI X7 is having many of those issues. The “Drivetrain Malfunction” is almost chronic with forum reports of this bricking the vehicle right from its release.
Some have bailed and bought a CPO Gen 1 X7 others have used the lemon law.
From an objective observation and being active on the forum, I can tell you as a G05/G07 owner from the beginning, we never saw this kind of more severe chronic issues from its release in 2019-2022. They were more nuisance iDrive issues with firmware updates. Nothing that could actually “brick” or make the vehicle undrivable.
I would think BMW would be working out of the more severe LCI issues by now.

No major issues for my 2023 X7 M60. Did go in for my first service to be told there was a software update. They did the update and a check engine light came on along with a drivetrain warning. They kept the car for three days whild contacting BMW. Redid the software update and everything was fine. And the apple car play has had to be reconnected about five times in the past 15 months. But that's it. The OP's post is insane. You should have gotten trade assist or filed a lemon law claim.

We picked up our 40i on 10 June 2023 and have had some of the same issues. The infotainment screen went black in the first 200 miles and then again several times during a trip to WDW. That service visit landed me with iDrive8.5 around the first of July. I've had a 3rd row seat freeze in the upright position. The drivetrain malfunction message has appeared a few times, but have not bricked the car. I seem to be the only owner that can't get the digital key to work with my phone. Something was not right in South Carolina the end of May/first of June.

We had issues with our 2020, it turned out to be a wire harness issue with wires rubbing through their cover causing a short. Happened at the 30k KM mark on the ODO.

It took dealer 6 weeks to trace down and then fix. But been solid since...
