Yes, and my grandmother would agree.

Lexus isnt even on the same planet as BMW (unless you are said grandmother mentioned above).

I will only take you seriously if you have owned/driven the LX570. Otherwise your comments are biased and therefore will be disregarded. I drove the LX570 for 6 yrs. I am in a good position to talk about the merits/demerits of Lexus & BMW, having a combined experience of 12 yrs. I love them both. My ideal car will be a car designed by BMW, with a BMW engine but built and quality controlled by Toyota Lexus, best of both worlds!

Yeah, it looks like the 2nd row bench seats, and 3rd row seats, are also suffering from some level of wrinkles in the leather, just like the G05. Doesn't look like the captain's chairs are affected, just like the 1st row captain's chairs are fine in both the G05 and G07.

Does seem like it's related to BMW's new SUV seat manufacturers, Magna.

Do want to see if we can gather data from owners here, what 2nd and 3rd row seats look like in your rigs, whether you have captain's chairs, and what kind of leather you have.

For what it's worth, when I ordered my MY18 Range Rover there was a similar discussion thread on the Range Rover forum about the leather seats being wrinkled. I believed Land Rover uses the same seat supplier as X7. Some said it was by design to have a little "give" in the surface.

My seat quality is great and I'm very happy. The nicest most comfortable seats I've ever owned. The front massage is with out a doubt, totally recommended

Woot! The massage function is one of the top 5 must-have features for me. Not a deep massage of course, but the way it prevents a stiff long-sitting sore butt is great.

Have any of you spent time in the backseat of a Range Rover? It's one of the worst places you can be! So stiff!! I think having seats like this with more "give" is a really good thing to have

so at this point is it official that this is by design ? doesn't bother me personally, the seats are comfortable and think that is true, in part, because the leather isn't super taut but what do i know

Is this normal? Will warranty cover this? This is a car less than 1 week old.

Too bad the rest of their SUVs are crappy and outdated. Their v6 engines are basically mild refreshes of 2005 engines and the v8's are also circa 2007. Infotainment is about state of the art for 5 years ago to boot. I guess that's how they make them reliable, by not updating anything...

I wanted the wife to get a RX350 as it would've saved us over $20,000 but even she got turned off by how outdated the the RX350 is...
She even noticed how slow it was on the test drive. I bet a B48 equipped G05 would outrun the RX350....
Absolutely agree. Have always wanted a Lexus. Went in thinking it was the car we'd get. But it's tech is so outdated and the ride wasn't nearly as enjoyable as the X7. The X7 test-drive ended up costing me the extra 20k. Also agreed that if you never update your car it's bound to be reliable b/c you work out the kinks after 5-7 yrs.
