I was looking at the Kia as a second vehicle in case I decided to save some money.
Right now, however, they are in such high demand that you can't even get the top trim (order banks closed for certain features for the next couple of months). The few they had available were partially sold at a $10K mark-up. I know it sounds ridiculous but that's what's going on. Don't know much about the Hyundai. Last time I checked the website, it said "stay tuned". No pricing info out. |

Brand snob here too, but I have frequently found myself lately seeing a cool car on the road that I didn’t recognize, and when I get up to it, it’s always a Kia. They’re making some pretty nice looking cars.

I looked at the x7, Kia and Hyundai and aviator at the La auto show last Nov. . They are all great at their respective price points.
I'd definitely go kia/Hyundai over a pilot. The x7 is nicer has more power etc , but the Koreans offer ventilated seats in row 2 that bmw does not! Overall I'm happy with our x7 and do not have buyers remorse at all. If my budget was below 50k I'd definitely consider the Hyundai /Kia. |

Looking at the pricing for the Palisade and...call me impressed.
About $48K MSRP for a fully loaded one is less than I thought - considering this is even a bit more upscale than the Telluride. The Palisade will also bring the crazy demand on the Telluride down a bit. Right now, I'm planning on going X7 40i for myself and Aviator for my mother. Since the Lincoln is also going to be north of $1K/month, I might do something crazy in put her into a Telluride/Palisade and get myself a X7 M50i just for the fun of it and still save $400/month... |

To state the obvious to all us BMW fans, in addition to the looks, they have to drive well. Until this happens I will never cross shop Kia with BMW. Can definitely be a good second family car.
