Apologies.
I know this was discussed in this forum way back when. I can't find the thread now though.

Anyways, my front passenger seat leather is is becoming detached from the seat.
**See photo.
Was anybody able to resolve this problem and prevent it from reoccurring.
It looks like it can kinda of be snapped back in place. I briefly tried and lost patience, given that it will probably just become dislodges again.
Thanks

** sorry photo not uploading

I've had that. It's fought to get it back in. There is in where it looks fixed and then there is further in where it is patched properly. My guess is the factory peeps stopped at the first in thinking that was good.

I figured this out a few weeks ago and it has remained in since then. I'm going to mention it next week at my dealer appointment.

Ok thanks.
I guess you really have to get a good grip on the leather using pliers or something so you can get enough slack to roll it under and pop it back in place. I hadn't had my morning coffee yet, so I was getting extra annoyed and just knew I was going to damage it.
I'll wait until my next service I think.

Is this a problem with the 2019 models only or are they still having the issue with the 2020 models?

BMW should have this crap fixed by now!

It has happened to me a couple of times and I can just pop it back in by hand. The last time I make sure to do it really well, and it hasn’t come unattached since. We will see.

that's absurd to me... you can get that seat replaced if you raise enough a stink. up to you, but it's recourse that's likely available to you

Yeah. Just a headache to have to schedule it for a service, bring it in, lord knows how long it値l take to fix. Such an inconvenience over something that is actually really pretty minor. I値l probably mention it whenever I have it in for the first regular service.

I hear you. Yeah maybe just plant the seed at your next visit. In the end that痴 one day in the shop once the replacement is approved and ordered and received

I'm pretty handy, but mine isn't so easy to pop back in without really pulling hard on the leather with pliers or something.
I'm trying to be patient and just wait for my next service.. so I don't damage it.
Maybe the leather on mine is a little tighter than some others'?
