Thumbs down godaddy.com, lame

purchase domain name with them is okay, but their virtual dedicate server ask me to insert the windows server 2003 cd in order to setup the dns, what a joke. wtf is virtual dedicate server means? that is impossible. They do have the low price plans, but non of those will work, because they limited the functions. And that is not listed on their hosting plans. Add on will charge 100% retail price, even I purchase the package from them at few hours ago. They won't give you any errors for your setup until 48 hours later. That is wasting the time and customer's money. (time is even more important). I will never do business with them again. btw, in their blog, some customer post that one of the rep didn't know know what is domain. i am just so mad now.

Um, to setup the Windows DNS server on Server 2003 you are required to insert the disc to install the feature.

This has nothing to do with GoDaddy.com. I buy domains and forward the DNS queries to my DNS server.

yea, it is required, but it's virtual dedicate server, which I can't touch it from here. ask them to insert a cd, will take 3-6 hours. maybe up to 12 hours. I believe you have your own dns server, but I don't. I have to set up my dns server in virtual dedicate server...

after been fool by godaddy's customer service for install the dns over 12 hours, finally found the way to set up the ns without insert the server 2003 cd to the server. there is something call total dns control, just change the ip there, log in back to godaddy domain manage and change that, all set. 10 seconds stuff, they point me to the wrong direction and waste me 12 hours...
