Froome all the way if he survives Week 1. He's a freak of nature made to win grand tours.

That was great. Great to see Cavendish win.

I think it's over for Contador...

only really been up and down my street at the moment as its been nothing but rain in the UK. I like it though from the short ride i had. I'd like to add some carbon wheels in the future.

Had a look round the Rapha store when I was in London, got 20% off so picked some bits up. Pic from the shop/cafe.

Good stuff!

I've got a few Rapha bits... arm & knee warmers and a rain jacket. High quality gear. But i had to wait until it was all on sale! lol

Newbie here, so nice to see a cycling forum on here. I have been cycling since 1971. I currently own a Trek Domane, needed a little more comfort over my Madone. I won all 3 gold medals in the 2014 Delaware Senior Olympics and try to stay fit even at age 72. My favorite ride is the George Hincapie Grand Fondo in North Carolina in October. Delaware is a flat state so I love the challenge of the Blue Ridge mountains. Last year Lance attended but was not allowed to ride and I spent some time with Cadel Evans and George as they are very interactive with the riders. I hope to interact a lot on this forum.

Who knew Froom had it in him. Love it. But seriously, how much damage can a guy do throwing a punch when you can see right through his arms if you hold them up to a lamp.

went for first ride on my new bike. Chain fell off after 5 minutes and i crashed hard. So annoyed, messed my bike up. Don't know whats caused this, the cycle shop i got it from set the bike up for me and fitted me for the bike. I left believing it was fine to go out and ride so not sure who to blame.

We're you on the road, or mtn biking? Either way, that shouldn't happen. Chain came off the front ring?

road bike, flat road, changed gear and the chain fell off the smallest cog in the back and got stuck in between the frame and the ring. Fell hard. Shop said they will give me a refund or replace the bike today which I'm happy about.

Ouch at least the shop is taking care of it. Sounds like the rear derailleur was out of wack or something.

I snapped my chain last week on my mtn bike but luckily the chain just fell to the ground and I was able to ride it out safely.

Wow, it sounds like that shop didn't even bother to check the rear derailleur max/min limits at all if I'm understanding what happened correctly. What happened to you is the worst case scenario.

I hope you're not injured. If I have this thing captured right, I'd be taking the refund and giving someone else my business. At least they're giving you options!

Cut my arm and knee up quite badly and bruised my ribs somehow.could have been much worse though. Happy I get a new bike though at least as it's a horrible feeling messing up a brand new bike. Glad my zipp wheels I just bought and Garmin wasn't on the bike too. Wrecked my new fizik shoes also.

3 years ago, I had this 1981 Motobecane, passed down to me from my dad. It was in poor shape and I invested almost nothing in keeping it in working condition. Don't get me wrong, I didn't abuse it, but I didn't upgrade the wheels or brakes or gearing, and everything was original, or aftermarket replacement parts from at least 1995. It was primarily used for commuting and I didn't want a bike that I would constantly sweat over it being stolen and I had to store it outside under a tarp.

When I finally needed brake service on the bike, I took it to my local shop and the arrogance they expressed to me was unbelievable. Almost as if "how dare you bring this POS into my shop" kind of treatment. I mean, biking is not my thing, it's a means to get from point A to point B. I don't need to show up at a shop with a $8k bike.

Question: Are all hardcore cyclists arrogant POS? Or it's just a bike shop thing?

But I guess I got him back when I passed the bus he was riding on in my M3...

Speaking of arrogance.

I wonder what kind of reception someone taking a 1995 Kia into their local BMW dealer and asking for an oil change.
