I just did the same transition. Obviously not the same but I honestly don’t miss the power. The X7 does everything I need it to with enough power and gives a feeling of confidence.

I would not believe anything Motortrend says even if they say the sky is blue. They write as if they never drove the X7.

I can tell you without hesitation that our X7 drives better, is quieter, has better technology, and is more comfortable overall than the GLS. The GLS can accelerate a little faster and can hold some more stuff than the X7, but that is mostly due to the configuration difference (bench seats for the GLS and captain’s chairs for the X7).

Our lease is up on the GLS this week, and we are turning it in without hesitation.

Yes! You sir are who I've been looking for! You may have sealed the deal!! I am going to Global BMW over lunch tomorrow (if I don't get a meeting scheduled over it &#128580 to look at a GLS (prob a trade in on a X7) and maybe see if I can fit in a test drive on a X7 40i.

I actually ran into a guy in my office building who just got a X7 and he had a GLS previously who serendipitously parked beside me yesterday! Getting better data points!

If you have a GT3 on the way, don't worry about the M50i unless you're looking to burn a hole in your pocket. I live in the city with three kids, and garage space is limited. I don't have a dedicated fun car, so the M50i is my utilitarian hauler and fast mover.
