Apple Car Play

I've been using Apple Car Play using the wireless connection for awhile and noticed that my phone occasionally loses connection with the system. Usually not a problem but it drives me crazy especially when the connection is lost and I have to restart and redo my navigation on google maps.

Anyone else experience this? I read somewhere I can connect via USB-lightening cable so hopefully this might provide a more stable connection especially when using Navigation?

Is your phone up to date?

It has happened to me a couple times when the phone is on the wireless charger and it gets really hot. Other than that wireless CarPlay works well for me.

BMW's CarPlay is wireless only.

Thank you all for the feedback. The connection with the car usually drops if my cellphone signal is low.
