8TT Decoding Additional Functions

I have a MY24 Dravit Gray XM Base en-route.

Has anyone worked out what we lose / is decoded with 8TT?

I'm hoping it's not assisted lane change, which I know is removed with some colors, as that was one of my favorite features on my XB7 on a long drive.

You won’t lose lane assist. It primarily includes lack of the towing programming that you can get in the other countries as well as decoding of the anti-dazzle.

It’s all stuff related to US DOT regulations.

You’re welcome! Those decode “options” have been on every BMW I’ve ever owned that I can remember - certainly the last five I’ve had since 2016.

Yeah, I've been used to 5AP to remove the anti-dazzle from the lighting, but 8TT was a new one on me.

Now I've decided to pull the trigger on an XM, the delay between "commit" and "arrival" is killing me! All I've got to obsess over in the interim is the small stuff

You probably won’t wait much longer than six or seven weeks since they’re built in the US. Welcome to the family!
