I see BMW installed the old model steering wheel and not the new flat bottom wheel. Makes no sense

This is BMW. That 650+ HP is probably at the wheels, and when actually tested, the thing will probably be a mid 3sec SUV. I dunno why they understate their performance numbers, but they do it all the time.

Everyone criticizing the looks (which are fine) must also think the M2 leaks are fakes.

This looks fantastic compared to your other options, so don't complain.
Yeah I'm really liking it. I prefer the concept grill as it doesn't have that shadow to it but I'm very impressed. Interior looks amazing also

Not sure of the reasoning, other than wanting to make sure people don't complain about the inability to hit official performance claims.
You are right, but for the bespoke M car, I would have expected a much lower posted time. The M40i model cars can pretty much all beat the XM on paper. Ok, so it may be able to do the 0-60 sprint in 4 second flat.... Still not impressed!

I always feel at home in a BMW. Their design ethos, interiors, ergonomics, branding, etc. Something just feels "right." Not sure if I'll ever get a new one again, but you never know.

For the time being, Porsche is my new love.

My biggest concern here is the power level of this s68b44. It's at 489hp. If this is indeed the power train of the new m5. It's a downgrade. Should have been 650hp engine, 197 battery.

The gt63s e performance is 840hp combined. Next m5 needs to match that as well as this xm needs to match that.

My 21 x6m comp is faster than this xm model and lighter by most likely 1000lbs. What a bust.

I'm surprised the interior seems so closely aligned to what is and will be the X7 and X5 LCIs. Front seats, center console, door cards and steering wheel all seem based on current X5M. Obviously screen and center vents seem similar to X7 LCI, and so presumably X5 LCI. I would have assumed that as a new halo vehicle the interior would have been closer to 7 series than X5/X7 LCI. Interior color combo and headliner is very nice.

4.4L V8, with the current gas prices...how does it make sense, unless that this is designed for Arab countries? On the other hand, the el-motor is very low-power, which makes it a nonsense to drive the car in electric mode, after all there's a reason to buy an M car.

Bro, I think anyone that can afford to buy this vehicle is not worried about gas prices

Because in Germany and many other countries in Europe car insurance premium calculation factors in the horsepower.

In US people still buy pickup trucks with a 6.2L V8.

M cars get shifters. Think of it like Porsche with the GT cars
