It's not about the change, it's about the overall design language. It's becoming mainstream more and more and starting to look like everything else.

Didn't really like the design of x7 (thus decided to buy X5).
Once the X7 LCI was revealed, I started to like the pre-LCI view of X7. One more ugly looking (the front) car from BMW (after iX). |

I love my G80, haters be damned (ive gotten nothing but people stopping me and paying compliments in real life) BUT this is actually the first time that I've seen a cohesive design come out of their new 'design language'. The new 7 is pretty close...but this is a home run.

I really like the new interior (minus the weird ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////M thing), but I just can't get around the headlights. They look so weird but at the same time... soft? cheap? they made the top row look generic and the bottom row doesn't look high tech at all.
I waited too long to order a 2020, waited through 21-22 for features to come back (wrong direction), and now with this as the only option I'm seriously considering Range Rovers and even (barf) Lincolns that I never would have considered before. I would just go for a used loaded '20 if the used market wasn't so insane. |

If trunk space is a must, then for the money the Escalade takes the edge. Not a bimmer and the driving dynamics are completely different, but way more practical. |
