I'm usually in this camp, but it's all about opportunity cost of holding money and whether you can really afford the car, or just the payments.

If you can afford this car outright, having payments means nothing but understanding opportunity cost of money. If you can't afford this car outright, having payments means you just can't afford this car....

Yup!!! I didn't want to do really any mods until it was paid off. Time to have fun with it and buy some things for it. Already thinking about new springs and wheels

Eh...to each their own. Pay cash and build no credit, or build credit in a credit society? I'm going with the the forever building credit. I'd rather spend the cash on something else like a house or gold/silver. Dropping cash on a car is just throwing away hard earned savings

Was planning on 3-4 year, but got a great rate on an extended. Money better used elsewhere, but that year sounds scary haha. Enjoy your new freedom! I went years with no car note. Great feeling.
