1- MAX saw in latest test drives that the RB 2020 car is really faster with more power from the Honda power source .
2- RB-Money talks .

Indeed my friend ! From what I heard it looks promising for RB in '20 ...
The thrill is on !

And if it is not ...As we know a contract actually means not much in F1.

This is great news for my mate and fellow Aussie Dan, one less in line for the red or silver racing suits.

Yeah Daniel could have a chance in '21 if his contracts up.As far as Ferrari are concerned Mick probably won't join until much later if at all.The bugbear could be Ham.Ferrari have shown interest but whether they would actually take him on is something else and would cause colossal upheaval in driver market.
More likely he'll stay put in the silvers before retiring as Wolff will not now get his FIA chief post.

Mick is really going to have to improve his performances if he wants to step up to F1. His first season in F2 was a bit lackluster (despite one sprint race win and a storming drive in Austria). Frederick Vasseur (Alfa Romeo Racing Orlen team principal) has even said that they dont intend on giving him FP1 outings this year. One could interpret that to mean that he's not shown the speed to warrant an F1 test yet. Will be interesting to see how he does this season.

Helmut Marko and Horner were afraid to lose him...
I still remember his first race . He was only 17 and drove his first F1 race without driver license
And look at him now ...The Golden Boy !

He performed well even as a beginner and hopefully with the engines of all the cars running with little or no grey area's it will be more exciting than the processions fans have endured from Merc and a lot have deserted the sport.
Horner has said that the engines are complex. The FIA decided themselves on having hybrids because of manufacturer pressure and they simply can't fathom some of the pu's tech that engineers come up with.

Seems that neither Merc or Ferrari were busting a gut to hire Verstappen. All that public whining about the Renault engine was quite damaging to his appeal.
You only have to look at how Alonso ended up to see that being a fast driver is not the whole package....(Honda now won't let Alonso race in a car with their engine after all the criticism of the Honda engine he made while at McLaren).
Verstappen needs to learn to keep his whining to himself...if he ever wants to move to teams like Ferrari and Mercedes where PR is paramount.

While I agree that his criticisms and general propensity to act before he speaks hurt him, I think that in time they can, and most likely will be, overlooked once he matures a bit more. Alonso is a good example of this. He essentially blackmailed (unsuccessfully) McLaren back in 2008 and ended up returning to the team later on. Not sure if that would have been allowed to happen had Ron Dennis still been at the team though.

On the topic of Alonso, it seems he may have finally made amends with Honda. I read this morning that he is close to signing a deal with Andretti to race at Indy (Andretti run Honda power). The article made it seem that Andretti is the one who is close to convincing Honda to let Alonso race their engine though.
