If I need any of that, I just order some food from Frisch's Big Boy. They deliver TP and hand sanitizer with your order. Awesome sauce!

I'm a huge Macallan fan. I named my dog Macallan. Coming from me, do not underestimate the Balvenie Caribbean Cask. Very toffee like notes. Quite good. But expensive.

I have a Macallan No.4 edition that I'm working through, very good.

Also, the Dalmore is just a good scotch all around. Nothing to sneeze at.

But I also find my tastes wander to the smokier / heavy on the peat side from time to time. I don't know if it is something like a palate cleanser or what, but I really enjoy a smoky heavily peated scotch often. So I'm not sure if I'm a very good barometer (though I'd say nothing I recommended above comes close to peat), but I am giving my own impressions.

As always, explore what hits the spot for you!

You might want to try Ardbeg AnOa or Uigeadail, both are sherry-finished with that Ardbeg Peatsmoke. I think Laproaig also does something with a Sherry finish, perhaps one of the Caideas versions.

Both Ardbegs are great, though I've found it difficult to source Uigeadail. I've got some An Oa and Corryvrecken sitting in the cabinet at home right now, both are probably 1/3 left. But both are good, though different from each other. And usually have a bottle of Ardbeg 10 on hand too, though I don't at the moment.

Also, I have to say I genuinely enjoy the Lagavulin 12. More than I do the 16. But these are all peaty Islay scotches and not ones I'd recommend to Run Silent at this time. Though I wouldn't be surprised if he starts leaning that way in 5-10 years. I myself started out with the Speyside region, and only in the past 2 years or so started going heavy on the peat. But I still genuinely enjoy most Speyside's.

Me too, I remember trying Lagavulin 16 when I was in my 20's, I couldn't choke it down, now I love the peaty smokey stuff. I think Talisker is my favourite.
