Rough Vibrations

So I just recently purchased my 328i wagon, its a 2007 w/ 24,000 miles on it. A couple of days after the purchase I started to notice that after the car was warmed up and in drive I would stop at a traffic light or stop sign and I would feel vibrations through the seat, pedals and steering wheel. The rpm's were still below 1 grand. When I put the car in park it goes away. So it only appears when the car is warmed up and standing still in drive. The vibrations are pretty bad, it feels as though the car has 200,000 miles on it and needs a tune up. The car is currently at the dealer being looked at. Has anyone encountered such a thing? My 06 drives like a dream compared to this one! I have never felt such a thing except from cars that are completely worn out. When the car is in motion it performs flawlessly. My thought is that maybe it's missing a bolt in the motor mount. No clue! Any thoughts?

My car has the EXACT same issue (2007 e90 328i). It occurred roughly 8 months ago so I took it into dealer to have them check it out, only to have them say there is absolutely nothing wrong. The vibrating has only gotten worse over time; I'll probably take it in again sometime this week.

I just got the car back from the dealer today. And of course they said it was functioning fine. I call BS, in all of the cars that I have owned I have never had vibrations like this unless the car has 200,000 miles on it! This car has 24,000 miles on it, there is no way that it should run like this.

I will not go back to this dealership again, they gave me the run around and I got the car back filthy!

I have a similar issue except mine doesn't vibrate but has a humming sound when I'm at a stop light. If I move the shifter to Park or Neutral, the noise goes away. It sounds like a large truck with a loud muffler is parked next to me and I'm hearing the noise through my windows. I took it to the dealer and they told me nothing is wrong. Anyone have an idea?

I have an 08 328i.

Possibly an engine mount?? The vibrating is definitely not normal; the past few 328i loaners I have driven had no noticeable vibrating whatsoever.

Thats what I mentioned to the dealer that maybe it was missing a bolt on the engine mount or something was wrong with it.

When my engine is cold I don't feel the vibrations, it's only after it gets warmed up.

i've recently been getting to a lot of loaner cars with the issues with my car. I've noticed that of the 6 loaner cars i've had in the past 3 months, 3 or 4 of them had the SAME issue you describe. ALL 328 or 528, ranging from 20008 through 2010

You've had 6 loaners in 3 months?

Does your car live at the dealer?

+1, '07 328i w/ 38k and I have slight vibration at idle as well (but not while moving). OTOH, wife's X5 w/ 4k miles doesn't exhibit any vibration whatsoever.

Id start out by replacing plugs, coils, & fuel filter, BUT you shouldnt be having such rough vibrations at 25xxx miles

My 2009 wagon (10,000 miles) does the same thing - it is somewhat worse with the AC on, but noticeable with or without the AC on. I have been dreading taking it to the dealer because I know that they will not find anything...
