I’m in Texas, we don’t even know what winter tires are lol. We can get storms here and there that dump some snow or ice, but we usually get enough warning to stock up and not go anywhere for a few days. Very rare to have to wait longer than that. And I wouldn’t really drive then anyway.

I was trying to get home in Colorado from East Texas in the 2015 snow storm in my almost new 435i (RWD) on summer performance tires. I though I would be safe taking a much more southern route than usual, but still had roads with over 3 inches of snow and ice. The car did great with no pucker situations at all. When I finally made it to I-20, I pulled into a gas station to fill up. Drove right up to the pump and had no idea the gas station lot was covered with ice and almost fell on my ass. No other issues except when I got home there was about an inch of snow on my driveway and I had to work for about 15 minutes to get the car into the garage.

42 here and my s30i is also my semi-daily driver. I stay quite near my office so I don't always drive to work. But I do drive it at least 4 days a week.

I used to have a BRZ and GLA35 but decided owning 2 cars is a waste of money.

I sold them to get a 2019 Z4 and has never looked back.

Sold them to get the 2019 Z4 an

The Z4 really is a great daily driver. Only issue of course is maintenance costs for doing so. Tires, oil, gas.

In pa, sdrive 30i and it's my daily driver. Put the winters on in October, had an early taste of weather, so far so good. I'll likely do 15kish a year.
