If you find the part numbers could you send them my way? I was on a spirited driver last weekend and although I was driving like 80-90 across woodland roads the entire door card drove me nuts, it was like a buzzing/creaking sound.

I have maybe two or three broken pins for sure so its gotta be that
These are the ones I ordered

I ordered them from a BMW dealer but you can also find generic ones on Amazon.

I’ve only opened my door cards once so I’m not too worried about opening them another time. I think when the orange 605/blue comes out in a few months, I’ll complete the sound deadening and bimmertech alpha one speaker upgrade I’ve been planning. That should be the last time I have to open the door cards again!

I managed to go through a full bag of 30 new clips over the course of 4 hours on Friday when cleaning the car. I'm pretty sure I invented some new swear words in the process. I gave up before I ended up having a psychotic break and finished it this morning.

Absolute nightmare but the amount of crap I hoovered out of the car was amazing. I also managed to fix a couple rattles which had been driving me crazy also.

She was a dirty girl!

How do you like the F8x seats? I've been wanting to upgrade to the same but been on the look out for black leather M4 competition seats, which are rarely for sale used. Did you have to disable the seatbelt tender thing (the thing that hands you the seatbelt)?

Filthy, the cars my workhorse and I've not cleaned it In about 12 months ha.

Yeah I really like the m4 seats theyre more comfortable and supportive than the regular seats. I find them more comfortable than the competition seats also as they seem a little less padded? Maybe it's in my head I don't know.

The seat belt butlers were removed with the m4 door cards. I used it with them briefly but they snag on the corner of the seat so I pulled the fuse. I found them useless anyway.

Sorry to hijack the thread...

Were the m4 seats plug and play?

Basically, I just swapped out the seat module, took 2 seconds and then tapped power the pin for the illuminated M logo on the seat.

Electrical tape or tint the lens.

605 is pretty much like a turn signal in terms of amber colour temperature.. 405 is the dark orange/mix of red that you find on the LED's from factory including the illuminated dash and buttons.

Actually, 605 nanometers is the color orange BMW used and continues to use for interior lighting since Christ was a corporal.

Since 405nm is violet blue I suspect something misread or lost in translation. Perhaps 406 smd sizing aka regular orange vs 605nm orange.

Man I really wish they did an orange 605 and blue combo. I don’t think anyone even likes the white option lol. Orange and blue would be the best combo.
For those of you interested, think they just released blue/orange 605 combo for the door panels. Don't see it yet on the climate or footwell ones yet.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully the radio trim and footwells will be offered soon and in other color combinations too!

Just a heads up, I ordered a benzinfabrik led module thinking there would be two in a pack but was disappointed to find only one comes in a pack, so make sure you select two when ordering.

it's like €50s delivered to the UK for two tiny modules - yet to fit mine aswell.

Indeed, they're sold in singles so you need 2x for the radio trim, 2x for the footwell and 4x for the door panels. You will love the final look once they're installed. I love driving at night with blue ambient lighting!

Yeah when it says x2 led it means there are x2 leds on each board

I have been messaging them, and they have said the Blue/Orange 605 for climate and footwell will be released at the end of the month. I plan to purchase them all together.

Just ordered some more blue/white LED modules from Benzinfabrik for the door cards/footwells/radio trim.

I should be driving a "new" 440i very soon I'm trading in my 430i I can't wait! Yes I'm jumping the gun on ordering LEDs but it takes a while to ship from Germany lol. I'm too lazy to remove the Benzinfabrik LEDs from my current 430i to use in the new car lol.

This is a wise decision, I could imagine that you could break something that would be remaining as constant damage. Isnt worth the efforts for me, installing the LEDs is a peace of cake.
The transport way... well, I could bring them with me next time I fly a leg overseas but depends on which city you are located

I know this is a very old post, but if anyone is browsing maybe you'd be able to shed some light.

So I'm about to order from benzinfabrik and I've decided to opt for the White/Orange 605 for the door panels as I've come to realise that blue hurt my eyes and I find it distracting while driving (tested in a friends car with various different levels of brightness).

Now my issue is wanting a bit of separation. I'm thinking of getting White/Blue for the footwell lights (as I'm not looking down at the footwell while driving), but concern is I don't know if the Orange 605 interior will go well with the blue footwell lights.

I've seen pictures of the Orange 605 for footwell lights and I dislike it very much, but I either keep it all consistent with Orange 605, or as I said have a bit of separation with the colours. The only time it wont' be different colours is when I keep it on white.

My friend in his G82 has coded in extra lighting options and he has the door pannels on red and the footwell on blue and that doesn't seem to hurt my eyes or distract me at all... the difference being in an F3/8x we don't have the option to change to various different colours. Please help with making a decision?
