2024 heated and cooled cupholders

Just got my 40i. Is there a way to remove the black piece between the 2 cupholders?. I used to place my phone in a cupholder in a rented 40i which did not have heated and cooled cupholders, but phone does not fit in mine.

I don't like the location of the wireless charger and don't want to add mounts, bases, cradles, etc to the dash.

Not sure if the piece is moveable. Saw this in another thread about nuking iPhones. Was considering this as a solution for myself. Thought I’d share.
