2020 x7 goat

I just read in another thread that the 2020 X7 is considered the GOAT X7 as lots of options and finishes were not on other X7s because of supply chain issues.

I have a 2022 X7 M50i and as far as I’ve been able to ascertain the only missing elements or deletions are:

A) the crystal control knob is not touch controlled
B) the cars originally had alcanterra for the cover of the Sun roof shade.

Is there a list anywhere of all the things that “went away” after 2020? Just wondering what else I may be missing.

There were several random deletions after COVID. I have a 2022 40i and my controller can be touch controlled but I don't have the wireless charger. Other 2022s after my build date didn't even get a touchscreen. The 40i didn't have the DHP option, wasn't deleted just not available for the 40i that year. Also didn't have the upgraded stereo package. They saved those limited supplies for the 50i+.

Anyways, I haven't seen a comprehensive list since some were around a specific build date, not the entire model year.

The big ones that were available on a 2020 X7 are…Night Vision, Ambient Air, Rear Seat Entertainment, alcantara headliner and parcel shelf. Then there are minor build options here and there that started falling away after 2020.

At this point BMW is still not back to as opulent of a vehicle yet.
Surprisingly even the ALPINA is still lacking a “fully loaded” status.

The first 3 options are premium tier and really takes the vehicle up a few notches.

I own a true fully loaded 2020 X7M50i and I won’t trade it for anything currently being built. Absolutely trouble free with zero creeks or rattles.

Rear seat entertainment was available on 2019 as well.

Yes! I know MystroX5 and myself have fully loaded 2020 GOATs. Great timing.

The only option I would have really liked was the B&W stereo and the alcantara shade cover would have been nice. I had night vision in a Q7 and never used it. The best option in ours is the Capt Chairs - which are great when you have 2 teenagers. We also had the rear seat entertainment screens in our last Q7 and again the kids just preferred their phones and iPads.
