Thoughts on lease takeover during plant closures

Hope everyone is safe and healthy!

Just curious how people feel about the success of putting up their cars for lease takeovers during the current climate. I'm itching to take advantage of the incentives that dealers are pumping out for new cars on their lots, but I can't justify adding another car to a garage that is already full. So it would be a strict one-in-one thing.

On one hand I know a lot of people aren't jumping to get into expensive discretionary spending given the economic environment. While on the other, I know that some members are impatiently waiting to be able to take deliveries that have been held up, so maybe it's a win-win if I throw in some cash incentives on top and someone can take delivery now.

Stay safe y'all

Status of the DMV in various states might be an issue for the person assuming the lease. Ours is closed in PA, and dealers are just now starting to be able to sell cars online, so I would think it would be difficult to get a tag at best.

Ah yes, excellent point regarding the varying status of DMVs. I figured picking up a lease isn't even on 99% of people's radars. Stay healthy

Auction activity has been dead recently:... which means used car market is weak right now.

with dealerships and dmv closed there aren't many cars to send to auction. wait until after may 15th or june to see where the market really is when we reopen.
