So really, the only change will be the more powerful engine, and you're pretty much going to be paying any extra money just for the extra power.

The X7 50i base model already stars almost $20,000 more than the 40i. How much more of a gap can you really create, without making the 50i model a purely boutique vehicle for the rich?

What I'm fearing is that they jack up the 50i by maybe $4,000 and then do the same to the 40i to keep the gap the same, with little to no new features. It's just too much.
I am also concerned that with the M50i they will force you to take the current Sport Package ($3500) option with it, which I really don't care for.

So when does your status move from “scheduled for production” to production begins? Is it typically the week prior to your build completion week?

So for example a week 12 build of march 18-22 might see some progress this week?

Typically a week. But I wouldn't necessarily hold your breath - I've been stuck in entering production for over a week, and other members have become stuck at various points prior to the car shipping out.

Further testament to the joke, my parents have a mint 2016 E 350 4matic, w/ only 4,500 on the clock coming off lease end w/ a buyout of $47k. Those fools at Caravan only offered them $27k!!!
I can't see how this site is successful or maybe it's for the lower end car market.

Ouch!

It looks like Lease residuals are "inflated" to some extent.

So maybe leasing is the way to go!

What was the original msrp of your gl? I think you got a good deal if the residual is 58k but only worth 28k.

The market value of that 16 e350 4matic is well below 47k. Here are 2016 4matics at carmax. CarMax makes around 2200 per car after transportation and reconditioning. So again a lease with high residual was a good deal. [IMG][/IMG]

Not handy, but it's at least $80k

Gotcha, site better suited to buying a car off you, rather than settling a lease buyout.

58k residual on let's say an 85k sticker is a pretty darn good deal if we are talking a 3 year lease.

I agree. Caravan offered me 4K less than carmax for my 2014 X5. Dealer was even 2k higher than Caravan. I do not trust them (Caravan).

The point is. It's a good deal to lease vs buying if the residual is superior to market value.
