Anyone get the 03/2020.58 update OTA? Someone in another thread said this added ability to turn on 3rd row AC even when the seats are folded down. They had to get the dealer to install this update.

I'm looking for this ability as well. My car was built in April/May, and delivered this past Saturday but does not have this version. When I try to manually update it says no new updates.

So wondering if anyone has gotten this OTA or if this is a dealer install only.
Thanks

Dealer is doing my update since it would not work for me with OTA.

I just got version 03/2020.58 installed at the dealership during normal oil change time. I am mot sure what this version fixes. We did tell them iPhone connectivity sometimes dropped.

This interesting 🤔
I'm starting to think that bmw does different variations of software at production based on options.

I'm only saying this because I'm able to turn on AC while 3rd row is down since Mar-20. I believe I'm on 11.2019.50 or so but not the 03.2020 " I have to check "

Does anyone know if 03/2020.58 update includes the android auto update? I didn't think it was coming out until July though. I have the 11.2019.50 something as well.

BMW Genius told me today it's still planned for the 07/2020.xx update. So no to Android Auto in the 03/2020.58 according to the BMW Genius.

I gave up after waiting and waiting. After my service advisor kept saying they couldn't do the upgrade at the dealership, I spoke with the service manager and he took care of the upgrade on the same day. Interestingly he said he didn't think I would have ever gotten the update because something had to be reset in the system, and that I had a very old version for some reason. It was 07.2019.63 on a 2020. Either way, the car is now at the 03.20.58 version. Thanks to everyone's help.

.... The total lack of knowledge of your average Service Advisor never ceases to amaze me. Finding a knowledgeable and competent Service Advisor, or having a good relationship with a Service Manager (or both), is worth it's weight in gold nowadays - knowing the shop foreman is a great bonus as well. And it doesn't matter whether you need routine service for your car, a major warranty issue addressed or even non-warranty work - incompetence and lack of transparency can be so frustrating. Sometimes using politeness, curtesy and professionalism as a customer dealing with this stuff can only go but so far when dealing with incompetence....

I am fortunate enough to have a competent Service Advisor and a good relationship with the Service Manager at my local dealership. The fact that the Service Manager was also a former BMW tech makes a huge difference as well when discussing issues with the car. In fact, the relationship I have with the Service Manager at my local dealership is helping immensely with a current issue I am having with my X7 now.

I will be moving soon and probably the thing I am least looking forward to regarding my move is what the local dealer service department will be like - I am cautiously optimistic. Ok, rant over (for now)....
