I'm just wondering about how Apple CarPlay works? Is it bluetooth or some other connection? Sometimes as I'm driving and playing a song, there may be a quick cut-out, literally 1/2 a second.....then there are times this doesn't happen? Just wondering people's experience and if there is some reason this happens.

What app are you using for music?

When I use Apple Music it’s perfect but when I use the SiriusXM app it will have that type of dropout you’re describing, maybe once every 10 hours of listening.

Apple CarPlay in modern BMWs, including the X7, uses Wi-Fi as the primary means of connection. As far as the temporary pauses you are referring to, that is most likely a software glitch...
