How much discount should I target for a MY2021 X7 40i? My build has MSRP of $88,745 + Destination $995. I plan to finance through BMWFS.

I just to spoke to BMW NA Customer Service and they were like sorry we can't do anything for you. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

They said they will file a complaint.....I was like that is corporate speak for it will just get filed away somewhere to never be seen again.

I had mine built and told them I would only build if they took $7k off the $92k final build price. I feel I could have asked for more. Finally built and picked it up 4 days ago.

Locking in the BMWFS program incentives is a simple as having an application in the BMWFS system before the end of the program month.

When you vehicle arrives, you can finalize your deal with your locked rates and incentives when you ordered OR if the rates and incentives are better, you can request to close with the current rates. What you can't do is pick-n-choose rates from different monthly rate programs - eg July rate, August incentives.

You'll have to reapply for the new rate.

That's what I did on my G05, ordered and locked late Sep 2019 (awful residual, decent rates) and PCD delivery was scheduled for early Dec, I pressed my dealer to finalize my lease using Nov rates (+2% better residual, same MF rates, incentives).
I spoke to couple of local dealers and they all told me that offers valid at the time of actual transaction apply and you cannot lock in a rate or rebate at the time of ordering. I am thinking of calling BMWFS next week directly to confirm.

That's around 7.5 %. I would be okay with it tbh. The first quote I have received is only 3.5% off MSRP.

Sounds weird, Current lock in period is 60 days from end of programs. You then could choose those programs or the programs for the month the car is delivered.

I currently have a demo X7m50i at my store with about 4500 miles on it that i can blow out. I can take about 15k off of it depending on how it is purchased if anyone is interested. $119,375 msrp.

Quick question.

x7 50i/M50i) $1500 lease credit
(x7 50i/M50i) $3500 finance credit
(x7 50i/M50i) $1000 loyalty credit

Can I stack ALL three rebates when I lease a 2020 - ie 6K off? My local dealer says no.

Also, what sort of discounts are people getting on 2021 orders? 6% off reasonable for Costco pricing vendor?

I am being quoted 8% off of MSRP on MY2021 custom order. CA didn't mention including any incentives. He just said that they can give me 8% off of final MSRP so I am assuming that I can add financial incentives from BMWFS if available.

Is this reasonable?

If you are leasing then you qualify for the lease credit and maybe the loyalty credit if you currently own another BMW.

Finance credit is if you are purchasing and financing with BMWFS.

Got it! Thank you. I am curious if the loyalty credit extends to 2021?

You will have to wait until the rebates are announced for 2021 X7s. All the X7 rebates available now are for 2020 X7s.

Makes sense.

I presume 2021 lease info isn't available yet either? Any thoughts on what we can expect for 2021 M50i 36 months / 12K miles per year?

My dealer is using MF 0.0013 and 54% which I think he is using 2020 rates to guesstimate. I presume MF would be lower and residual value higher given no incentives.

Thanks again!

Do the BMW lease and finance offers apply as per the date the order was placed or the day the car arrives and you actually buy the car?

If I order my car before the end of this month than do I still get the current finance deal special when I actually buy the car 6-8 weeks down the line?
You lock in when you place your order. I believe most dealers will also give you offer at time of pick up if it's better than when you placed order.

You all should note that the above are for 2020 models and NOT 2021 models so if you order now there isn't anything yet for 2021 models to lock. It's up to to dealer to give you a deal and keep their word at this point. Come next week/August we will see what 2021 models offer.

Hello everyone! I'm new here and have not purchased a BMW before, so thanks in advance for the newbie questions.

I'm looking to lease an X7 in Southern CA. What should I expect in terms of % off MSRP for a x40i for a 2020 on the lot vehicle? Do the ones with captains seats sell better than the bench seats? I.e., is it more likely to get a bigger discount if I want one with captains seats or bench 2nd row?

Also, when would be the best time to negotiate for a good deal given the 2021's are starting production in Aug? Would later in Aug be better?

Thank you!

It doesn't matter what the market say, what matter is not to let the sales people know you want the option. Rule of thumb when negotiating, if you love it, say you don't care for it, if you don't care for it, say you hate it.

I got 12% with incentives on my 2019 last december. I'd start in that ball park.
